MiG-29A Fulcrum

Public Preview

Hero2.png

This year we’re taking the upcoming DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum on the road! Head to the FlightSimExpo 2025 on the 27th to the 29th of June 2025 at the Rhode Island Convention Center and make your first stop at the WINWING booth. You’ll be able to check out a pre-release build of the Fulcrum!

The aircraft will be paired with WINWING’s new grip that is meticulously modelled from our high-resolution 3-D scans of the real MiG-29A. The demo will focus on the current flight-model build and standard avionics, giving you a first impression of how the Fulcrum is shaping up. Several advanced systems such as the updated HMS, SPO-15 RWR, and engine-model upgrades are still deep in development, and not all features will be present in the show build.

We look forward to sharing our progress and gathering your feedback in person! Please take advantage of the -30% pre-purchase discount on DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum before it's gone.

Might bite on the Mig-21. :smoke:

It may be old and have some items modelling not fully accurate, but it is still able to provide an unlimited amount of fun flight hours, I truly love it and hopefully M3 will update it to v2.0. here is a video to whet your appetite, from one of my missions:

What is worth noting is that from what was given, the model does not have these three things yet, since they were listed. In fact, this may indicate that work is already at an end before release except:

  • HMS
  • SPO-15 RWR
  • engine-model upgrades

It is possible that the work is advanced but not finished. Maybe the completion of this + tests + corrections is about 1 month (Im guessing of course), so it is possible that around the end of July or the very beginning of August the model will be ready for EA release.

I wonder about the engines, what "improvements" are we talking about here? Compared to the FC model, or maybe the model will get two types of engines? 🤔 Any ideas?

At 0:16 sec there are camouflage nettings seen in the video. Are those "tent" objects new? WIP? Already in the sim somewhere?

Yes, they are on the Sim already, thanks to @Massun92 🙂

Oh. Great. Thanks for the answer!

I think now we need more sub-categories in the editor to better filter for all the different structures...

On my case, I prefer to spend a bit of time documenting the assets available so I don't have to rely on endless categories, like this:

Catalog of Massun92 Assets Pack within DCS.pdf

I refer to this document when I build a mission, else I end up doing a lot of trial & error when placing assets.

That's a great idea!  Makes it a lot easier to figure out what you want to use rather than having to click through each one and back and forth to find exactly what makes sense.

THANK YOU for sharing this!

With the summer sale in progress, it appears as though the “try before you buy” option is turned off which seems counter productive to me.  Thought I might give the Chinook a (free) try but couldn’t see the option in the DCS launcher UI.

It is not turned off, for example I could trial this Map:

ED does not provide trials for product that are still far from full release, ie newer Modules, this is the case for the Chinook. Trial something older.

LOL

Is it just my imagination, or can you tell that's an official ED video by the fact that Red takes shots - but only Blue gets kills...
