ExNusquam Posted June 28 Posted June 28 I believe there has been a change where CMDS_ALE47.lua isn't loaded into the aircraft. Custom CMDS files are now broken. 476th vFG/510th vFS
Tholozor Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Countermeasures are loaded through the data cartridge function now. Editing the lua is no longer required. 1 REAPER 51 | Tholozor VFA-136 (c.2007): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3305981/ Arleigh Burke Destroyer Pack (2020): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3313752/
ExNusquam Posted July 2 Author Posted July 2 (edited) That doesn't work in MP - I have no way of presetting CMS settings if the mission designer hasn't done it already. Edited July 2 by ExNusquam 476th vFG/510th vFS
MARLAN_ Posted July 2 Posted July 2 The DTC editor doesn't let you set your interval less than 250ms which is silly (it'll be overridden to 250ms once you load it in game) There are plenty of videos online showing much lower intervals. I was personally using 100ms from my testing for a good profile. I would be fine with a more sensible limit. Obviously releasing flares 1ms each would be ridiculous, but 250ms is also way too slow. 1 Virtual CVW-8 - The mission of Virtual Carrier Air Wing EIGHT is to provide its members with an organization committed to presenting an authentic representation of U.S. Navy Carrier Air Wing operations in training and combat environments based on the real world experience of its real fighter pilots, air intercept controllers, airbosses, and many others.
MARLAN_ Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Checking docs shows a 125ms release is officially supported 1 Virtual CVW-8 - The mission of Virtual Carrier Air Wing EIGHT is to provide its members with an organization committed to presenting an authentic representation of U.S. Navy Carrier Air Wing operations in training and combat environments based on the real world experience of its real fighter pilots, air intercept controllers, airbosses, and many others.

You can create a custom cartridge profile with all your CMDS settings and load it in MP. The 'FILE' option at the top of the DTC menu is actually a button that will allow you to import a user-made profile. 1 REAPER 51 | Tholozor VFA-136 (c.2007): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3305981/ Arleigh Burke Destroyer Pack (2020): https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3313752/
rob10 Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Alternative that I discovered today is to change the default DTC loadout to save you the step of going into the DTC manager to load that file everytime. You still have to load it in the MUMI page, but that's less of a headache than loading the cartridge profile if you use the same settings all the time. You can change it here: DCS World/coremods/aircraft/FA-18C/DTC/defs.lua No idea if it impact IC as I haven't tested that.
paura19 Posted yesterday at 08:50 AM Posted yesterday at 08:50 AM (edited) I believe, that CMDS_47.lua has bug with change of number of programs or MAN1 is not loaded in aircraft. Default: Custom program that MAN1 program is omitted. But why? Edited yesterday at 08:51 AM by paura19 MB2 Czech DCS server. rob10 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago That file no long does anything since the DTC was introduced. See this thread:

When the DTC was introduced, the CMDS_ALE47.lua file got borked. All of the program definitions are offset by one. It's like someone went from a 1-indexed array to a 0-indexed one For example, ProgramNames.MAN_2 is seen in the cockpit as "MAN 1". This continues in similar fashion until ProgramNames.AUTO_1 being the same as the wall dispense button (MAN 6). You can use this workaround if you don't want to use the DTC until the issue is resolved. I'm pretty sure this breaks IC so it's not the greatest hack. 1
