See this statement:

I understand some concerns, but I believe they are unfounded. This is a completely different publisher than Razbam, with its aspirations. Yes, there's always a certain risk, and that can't be ignored. Perhaps ED should provide greater protection for users, for example, by ensuring their product is supported for at least six years from release, and if such support isn't provided, a refund in ED miles is offered as standard procedure? It might be worth thinking about it for modules of 3rd party devs, because I see that some people have some concerns.

Two years ago I'd have probably bought it just to support the developers, but now after Razbam debacle I'm much less enthusiastic about spending money on DCS.

 

Your enthusiasm is yours to manage as you please, of course. My enthusiasm, however, remains enthusiastic.

 

I want all the fancy flightsim enjoyment I can have. And a DCS C-130, for me certainly, is top of the list. And I'll pre-order, twice, to get my hands on that kind of flying fun. Actually I will pre-order twice, I'm getting one for me and one for a content creator. As stated, I'm very enthusiastic. I think this is a great step forward for the sim.

A bit strange. When you visit the Main Website, you don't see any information or Pictures of the C-130J.  Poor Marketing Department.

This German site doesn't even mention the C-130J in the NEWS on the left. The English site does.

If you check other sites, you'll notice that some haven't been updated for some time. It's best to follow the English version.

I see the German Language is not actual.  But in English there is no Fotos from C-130J

I hope so. If its that ridiculous brown smudge effect used for the MIG 21 “nukes” or the MOAB in the AC-130 original mod, forget it. I’m not purchasing it.

Pretty sure I’ll purchase, it will be interesting to say the least.
Somewhere waaaayy down the line, I would actually like to see a ‘H’ model (UK equivalent being the ‘K’). Good ‘ol’ steam gauge cockpit!

Hmm, while this sounds very exciting, I probably won't pick this up. I've purchased the M-2000C earlier this year for 55€. Now I learn that the module will be defunct past version 2.9xx (and it's already buggy btw) --- so I basically threw 55€ out the window. I am not sure why I should bother to invest in a new module from an external developer other than Heatblur.

I hope your point simply is you are frustrated by the ED/RB issue, like a lot of us are, because if you really compare that with buying the C-130J, I guess it takes more guts buying the M-2000C earlier this year than going in for the C-130J, imho.

You got a point there. But both the F-15E and the M-2000 just sounded too good to pass. I also put some weight into both parties saying (one more than the other) that they are working in all earnesty to resolve the issue. There were also official words from ED that they were intending to make the modules work for a long time.

So maybe let me rephrase my point: since there is no recompensation for a module suddenly becoming defunct, I am wary on buying more stuff from external devs.
