This is still TBC, but it looks like the C-130 for DCS by Eagle Dynamics will be featured during the @simgamingexpo in Chicago. You will get the chance to try it out before the release and talk to the main developer of this fantastic module!

"We are excited to announce that DCS will be represented at the inaugural Sim Gaming Expo, a community-driven celebration of simulation taking place in Chicago, Illinois. This event will bring together enthusiasts from across the globe to experience the latest in simulation hardware, meet content creators, and take part in engaging panel discussions with industry leaders.

One of the highlights of the show will be the opportunity to fly the upcoming DCS: C-130J by Airplane Simulation Company before its official launch. Campaign and mission developer Baltic Dragon will be there to showcase his specially crafted C-130J missions that demonstrate the full capabilities of this outstanding new module. Visitors will also have the chance to experience DCS on the impressive SimCraft full-motion simulator, flying missions designed by Baltic Dragon.

DCS twitch streamer Ultrasaurus, known for sharing her DCS adventures, and Rifle, a real-world Special Forces Operator and JTAC/Instructor who actively uses DCS as a training tool, will be there to connect with fellow DCS pilots and share their experiences. "

"The C-130J over the mountains in Afghanistan, delivering ammo for SOF to a remote airstrip in the area with confirmed enemy presence. What can possibly go wrong? 
If you are at @simgamingexpo in Chicago this weekend, you'll be able to try this short mission and see how it goes. You will also have an opportunity to meet & greet the head of the @airplane_simulation_company developing the Hercules for DCS by Eagle Dynamics and talk to JTAC RIFLE, who spent a lot of time flying the C-130 during his numerous deployments! Oh, and @ultrasaurustv will also be there, as well as yours truly (Baltic Dragon)."

Looks like new "hotas" type controllers will be on the purchase list, sure the old Thrusmaster Warthog will be fine for a while but if I get into this like I want to, I may be spending some $$$

I love my honeycomb throttle and yoke I got for the civi sim but it looks like there’s some good ffb options now.

According to what we know, you will be able to sign all the right engines and the left one separately, so theoretically the TH Warthog will be completely sufficient with two axles as throttles.

I'm using the TM Warthog, and it works pretty well for the 130J. Even the reversers work well, when you assign a modifier and curves.

First I made a custom detent for the reverse, but i found out it's not really needed when you use a modifier + axis curves.

Got a chance to fly the C-130J.  It did, with all due respect, feel better than the C-130 mod.   But then again, I was not using my own rig or HOTAS so pretty much everything I fly will feel different.  It was nice though.

I met up with Xpendable there and he was saying that he inadvertantly had the C-130J throttle thrown to reverse, and it started taxiing backwards.  By the time he had gotten control of it again, it had been backward taxiing at 80 kts!  Wow.

It was also great to meet Baltic Dragon, what a great guy.  Here is me, Baltic Dragon, and Xpendable.

Something's off with the Sim Gaming footage. Either they're just short fragments like the one in the video above, recorded rather by accident, or they're just some similar-looking photos. Hello team?! Didn't any DCS fans go there and film a 5-minute flight video of at least a mission?

I kind of understand it. The big commercial booths and Racing Simulators looks exciting. On top of that there was
big Flight Sim cockpits with an asking price of almost 30.000$.

From the looks of it, the ASC C-130J was also seated in an area that looked more like a LAN party and less of a booth.
It's probably difficult to get much attention other than DCS enthusiasts who knew the C130J would be at the event.

From big YouTubers sure but I guess no one else from DCS was there? Would have been nice if someone at ASC could have put together a promo video. Maybe Baltic Dragon could film himself flying the supply mission and kind of talk us through it since not much seems to be out there?
