colin5392 Posted Tuesday at 09:37 AM Posted Tuesday at 09:37 AM If Dassault can be brought into the fold, can't ED liaise with SAAB, to onboard them and/or a preferred 3rd dev to consider creating a Gripen-C for DCS? Then we would have the Typhoon, Rafale and Gripen to combat the American jets in Dissimilar air combat training (DACT) 1
Vakarian Posted Tuesday at 09:48 AM Posted Tuesday at 09:48 AM I like the way you're thinking We'll see in time. Up until recently, Rafale was a big no-no and things changed. Maybe in the future opportunities open up for a Gripen as well. Oh, what I'd give to have it in DCS...
F-2 Posted Tuesday at 10:53 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:53 PM I know at one point Heatblur was proactive in asking SAAB. If I recall the datalink was the hold up? 1
Kang Posted Tuesday at 10:56 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:56 PM Quote why can't SAAB? Last I heard because Saab doesn't really need money right now

They were indeed: 3 Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
Tom P Posted Thursday at 06:01 PM Posted Thursday at 06:01 PM Opsec reasoning most likely. And if I remember correctly Wags said SAAB doesn't like giving away information on their current airframes. We're extremely lucky to get a rafale and will most likely not see it for the next 5 years minus a teaser here and there que the eurofighter. 1

And one of DCS' few oopsies involved them and the RB-15. 1 Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!

But, big defense contractors are usually clumsy things in this regard. They don't so much see intention, they just see that it happened. 1 Reformers hate him!
