Lyrode Posted October 26 Posted October 26 I can confirm the same problem. Pimax Crystal Light, Force IPD setting, 55 18分钟前,muffler说: Do you use custom IPD settings? Basically a must for Pimax headset. Without Force IPD everything looks smaller than in real life. 1
Shmal Posted October 27 Author Posted October 27 Yes, I have tried to set IPD by default and mark returned to center! But why this issue revealed after latest patch exactly? What are we going to do with IPD settings further? It has to work! - question to ED 1 Мой позывной в DCS: _SkyRider_ Мой канал YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGdfzT7-xbgvmPwmUcCNArQ?view_as=subscriber My callsign on DCS is: _SkyRider_ My YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGdfzT7-xbgvmPwmUcCNArQ?view_as=subscriber

ED Team BIGNEWY Posted October 27 ED Team Posted October 27 The problem here is the yellow sight circle is fixed to a point on infinity for the sight, with a combination of high res in VR and unusual IPD settings it is going to create a problem and I do not think there is a solution for it. Dave317 Posted October 27 Posted October 27 It was fine pre patch so there must be a solution for it. 2

Shmal Posted October 28 Author Posted October 28 Of course not! I was wondering after patch why yellow mark drifted while I didn't touch anything in my settings! I disagree with you, it's not true. Before the patch it worked without any problems and it didn't matter what IPD value I set. You did something different with it, although the problem with the visor in VR was solved, this stopped working. Currently it doesn't matter which eye the monocle is set to or what IPD value I set. YoYo Posted Monday at 06:38 AM Posted Monday at 06:38 AM On the Quest, everything is fine. Interestingly, I have upscaling at around 6000x3000 pixels and everything is fine. So, as I understand it, the problem only affects Pimax users, and some of them at that. What IPD settings do you have but in settings of DCS? Pimax Crystal Light Hardware IPD: 66 In-Game force IPD: 55 Without using custom IPD, the world would look 20% smaller than in real life. However the current issue is a result of proper ipd scaling after update. I can see the monocycle is move to the right about 5mm (or my right eye is moved to the left by 5mm).

It doesn't look like it could cause too many problems. I agree that the default DCS has a too small world. I also have it set to a higher scale (IPD 61 in-game). Pimaxes have a larger FOV (although apparently with Light it is also 110 deg., am I correct?), so it's possible there's a problem with these settings. However, since it was fine before and now it's not, you have to ask yourself if the DCS and MiG-29 updates changed anything, or if a software update from Pimax (as that's also possible). I have this: Hardware IPD: 64 In-Game force IPD: 61 and everything is in place, but as I wrote, it's Quest: Do you have Apache? If so, does it display IHADSS correctly? Lyrode Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago 19小时前,YoYo说: Do you have Apache? If so, does it display IHADSS correctly? I guess this could happen to pimax more than other vr headsets. They probably extend their fov by making the overall image smaller. Because in cyberpunk 2077 vr mod, and some steam games I also find the world smaller, that I need to use scale. Regarding the Apache, I checked the IHADSS, and it actually worked fine, perfectly centered. Besides, HMD on black shark 3, is also perfectly centered, though this one doesn't have model yet. HMD of F-16 also has no issue. The problem is on Mig-29 only.

The update log said it fixed the issue where hmd wass not affected by ipd setting. No pimax update in the meantime. So the hmd of mig-29 in real life can't be adjusted, the ingame ipd setting moving the eye position relative to the monocycle makes sense now, but it caused this issue for users who need to change world scale. Since ED advertised Pimax headsets I think they make a work-around for this. Like a proper FOV or World scale setting, instead of Force IPD.
