Sounds great! Since ED has been using 3rd party creations, you guys could easily become "the official unofficial" modellers for them! :)

All the best luck to you!

I believe the reason Simmod closed down in the 1st place was because of involvement with ED

STT Radar issue is leftover code.

What sort of nonsense is that?

actually it wasn't, we just ran out of money to support the site =X lol

We set up the site with google ads to provide some of the income but when we got enough money, they took it all away because they said our site was "fake" or something. Probably because of the hundreds of spam we got.

So the site closed down, but some of the members continue their work right here on ED's forum hidden away from public view.

I wonder why nobody asked for some webspace and free traffic here at the forums. Most of the squads run servers which would have had a bit of free capacity for a website like that.

... that's why I offered our help...

I think more importantly it was trying to get some of the data and old messages that was left on the old forum/site. If we moved to a new place, much of the data will be lost. I'm not sure if this site would do just that though.

Couldn't you simply go ahead by using the last available backup from the old website? That way most of the stuff should remain.

So there was no chance to get an old backup-file?

Anyway... All the best with the new project!
