from the russian planes still in activity in russian army , i think the one that saw most of battlefields it's the SU-25 so , i think it's a serious competitor in the race to the next module . the 25 is in service for several years now and i think documentation shouldn't be too difficult to find . i think documentation for a SU-27 should be more difficult to find . well there are serious competitors like the F-18 or the F-16 too but if ED made a Ka-50 why not a SU-25 . the question is will the SU-25 sell well , i'm not sure if occidental kids know the SU-25 shape but will kids be interested in high end simulator too not sure neither , the only chance for the SU-25 to become a DCS part would be that the addon would be successful in Russia but i don't live in Russia so i can't tell the SU-25 reputation there ?

OP cockpit looks gorgeous :D

Not sure what it would take to have a user generated plane in the DCS series. There are a ton of addon planes in FSX. Not sure how that is possible, but not in DCS series. I would love to have the opposing side of the A10. Just like FC2 has both sides in the air 2 air combat. We need the opponent to the BS and the opponent to the A10.

OP cockpit looks like it will be amazing.

This is why we are waiting for ED tools.

Sorry, but I must spam this thread :) While I enjoy A2G and the Su-25, there is no question that we need a multi-role fighter next for DCS for many obvious reasons. You have all the capabilities of a Su-25 but can do A2A. DCS needs player vs. player for MP. Releasing more dedicated A2A first narrows multi play possibilities.

I totally agree with you Crunch. If the next DCS aircraft will have only A2G capability it'll be a blow for me. We need something truly multirole.

Nah we need Su-25T :D

Multirole aircraft would be nice too... however it'd good if ED released both planes at once then.

if they don't make a SU-25 they have to make DCS FC2 compatible but from what i've heard there's still the Ubisoft copyright prob . i'd sure love to fly a F-18 but iwould always come to old version to fly the 25 . with the 25 when you can touch your enemy your enemy can touch you too , so you'll have to respect him to win , that's why i like that plane

nah, we need more aircraft used by only one air force and with ultra modern and secrete equipment that noone knows how it really works, and for sure cannot model it in current game engine. and that we have to spend few years reading the manual, and practicing, like those OF/AF guys that just now have finished last pages.

yeah, I rather wait 2-5 years for one of those, then have 4-10 per year of simple machines that were used by plethora of air forces around the world, and that you can master in a month, like Su-7, MiG-21, A-4, F-5... really, who wants that?

like, just look at all those thousands of looser playing IL-2. they will never be among 50 of us.

I'm selling MiG-21 activation key.

Also selling Suncom F-15E Talon HOTAS with MIDI connectors, several sets.

Contact via PM.

Isn't there something about, if it's done to DCS standard it can be sold as DCS? Might just remember wrong :(

More often enemy touches you in that plane :D

when you have a plane that isn't build around electronics but more on pilot skills you don't care , because even if the plane is completly blown up you have a chance to go back to base . look the B2 it's nothing more than a flying saucepan with dozens of backup computers , without electronics the bird just can't even stay in the air 2s (not saying us birds aren't nice here ..)

Hmm... The Huey, Hueycobra twin, and the Kiwoa would be awesome. If we just had one of these i would be happy. The Huey would be interesting because it is a multi-functional helo. It can carry troops, go tankbusting with rocket or machine gun pods, or be a Gunship with gunners on miniguns. Although it is pretty weakly armored.

Why have the SU-25T/SM....whatever when you can have the Jaguar GR3a.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Well from my point of view the AH-64 has never ben dun at the DCS level of detail and that is what I realy want(A sim not a game).

The biggest issue I have with the Apache is that it's a two seater. Unless you get a really good AI pilot/gunner or fly with some one, it will never truly be be a sim. Not a sim like what we expect form DCS.

Awesome yes, never going to happen though. At least not for quite a few years.

What would be the hold up for making a Eurofighter sim? Getting access tot he aircraft and data? Or is it some kind of limitation of the current DCS engine?

I think it's safe to say data. The eurofighter is only 7 years old and STATE of the ART so yeah I don't see British Aerospace BAP or equivalent being all to cool to release it's detailed tech specs on this bird. Latest gen fighters (f22, eurofighter, suberbug) are not even AI modeled at this point.

How did longbow handle the non player seat? I never played it, but everyone seems to claim is is still an amazing sim to this day.

I would love to see a cobra but same problem exists with the other seat.

Seems like the F14 is the easiest to automate the second seat. Not sure if the RIO has the same jobs in an F18/Tornado/or other 2 seat air craft.

Wait... couldn't ED just make it so you can hop into the other seat like in the upcoming Combat Helo sim? Heck, with enough work they could actually make a functioning gunner seat with AI in singleplayer and another player in multiplayer.
