someone said if release multirole fighter as F-16 or F/A-18 into the market will impact the sales of other as the A-10C? this is horrible wrong thinking, the lack of player in this games cause by lack of flyable aircraft, and 3D renderer quality, if look at the War Thunder, the server currently serving 15-20k players world wide, the flyable aircraft, the 3D renderer effect,....

I think the DCS should be releasing the current available aircraft in the DCS World first,

F/A-18C, F-16A, F-16C Block 52, F-15E, F-14, F-4?, F-5?, Harrier? where those were in current 1980s-1990s timeline,

Those F/A-18E, F/A-22, F-35, which was recent 2000s-2010s latest combat aircraft,

it will be unbalanced for the Russian side that currently still with the old Su-27 Flanker-B, Su-33, MIG-29A, MIG-29S, Su-25, Su-25T.

The F/A-18C, F-16C Block 52, F-15E, F-14, F-4?, F-5?, Harrier? should be out together with Su-27SM3, MIG-29M, MIG-25PDSL, Su-25KM, Su-24M2, MIG-23MLA, Mig-21Bis, Su-30?, Su-34?....

the F/A-18E should be out together with Su-35BM, MIG-35

the F/A-22 and F-35 should be out together with Sukhoi PAK-FA,

or just sale the aircraft in a package together with A-10C? just like the FC3? with pack of aircrafts?

I agree about the flyable aircraft, but not the WT comparison. We need to have what's already there flyable, not a list of projects that aren't already in the game. An F-16C, F-4E or G, a Tornado IDS, these are things that would sell to so many people. Everyone says "we don't need a Viper, Falcon has that covered" but actually we do need it, and more. Those guys, myself included, would love an accurate, fresh Viper sim, among others aircraft already used by the AI. BMS is great, but I feel the sim is outdated. We could have many more players if we had more multirole fighters flyable, simply the ones that are already in the game. That would make DCS more popular in the sim world. More customers would make the change to DCS. And ED makes more money. I hate that there are already lists of new subjects being developed, when the best selling subjects are already in the game. When I first got into DCS, I assumed that they would make the stuff they already have in game and eventually we would have all of the DCSW aircraft flyable in A-10C detail. I hope this is the plan.

More immersion

I voted for the F-18E Super Hornet and I will tell you why. The F-18 would add many more dimensions to the sim Taking off and landing on a carrier plus a new way to air refuel. It adds new weapons to the sim and different tactics. I love the A-10 after having maintained it for 10 years but it is getting a little boring doing the same thing over and over. CAS I mean, With the F-18E we could do A to A and ground attack. which would add more immersion in the sim. Sure other aircraft would add the same things but I don't think that any would add all of this at the same time. A lot of people want to be Tom Cruise in their F-14 but I think there are is a more urgent need for today's frontline fighters. Just my opinion.

Voted for the run-of-the-mill F/A-18.

Source documents are widespread and readily available (and unclassified), plenty of flight model data, multirole and multi-service (Marine Corps and Navy), carrier ops, new weapons (particularly GBU-16s)...

Not to mention they can model the C series, the more modernized and lighter A++, or even have the option to do 2-seaters with the D series ATARS birds for strikes or FAC(A)/TAC(A).

Can't beat it in terms of flexibility.

Even though I want the F-16C, F-4G, and/or F-111D more than any other, I could get on board with the F/A-18D. The GBU-16 drops no different than the GBU-12 or GBU-10, but Carrier Ops, SEAD missions (IronHand), Recon, Intercept, and Night-Time Bombing all sounds pretty great. Not to mention the chance to develope the first "Shared-Cockpit" fighter aircraft. They could make the back seat just as detailed and functional as the front seat and we could have some serious fun online, and that would also open up the possibility of a 2-seat tandem Home Sim Pit... I WANT!!!

I finally grabbed 1.2.8 and set it up this evening. I made an AIR AMERICA mission using the new Huey Sling-loading feature, and it sparked a new idea...

DCS F-16 CG... PERIOD.

But I'd be happy if we get any F/A-18 with catapult harness and tailhook. I'd love to land and takeoff full hi-fi from the CV CV. It would also be great if carriers receive an overhaul in texture, operation, and at least one multiplayer slot for controls of elevators and general boat control (turns and speeds).

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

I'm afraid not Frodstomp. ATM not even by a third party. But an F-18C is in the works by ED and a the SuperHornet has been anounced by a 3rd party developer.

How long are you willing to wait?

I just turned 37...so I have some time to wait. Plus I have other things to keep me entertained. But someone still needs to make one ASAP.

I *REALLY* wish they'd delete the poll responses from this thread. They're grossly misleading and downright invalid. For YEARS, there were only four options up there: F-22, F-35, F-14, and F/A-18E. And let's be honest, that's really only two options, and one of them is obsolete and A2A-only.

But for years people voted the poll based on those four options, until very recently when the F/A-18, F-15, F-15E, and F-16 were added. The vast majority of votes were cast before F-16 was even an option; that's one of the major reasons F/A-18E has such a lopsided lead (not to say that a more accurately applied poll wouldn't still see it leading, but certainly not by such a margin!). I wonder how many people voted for the F/A-18E only because when they saw the poll, F-16 wasn't an option? I know I'm one of them!

Oh, I didn't know that. I was wondering why there was that big of a gap between the 16 & 18. OOTO, do you know if any of the developers are making a cockpit for the Block 50/52?

Thanks guys.

I've flown falcon for years. Most of the falcon players I talk to want to come to DCS, but not until they have a 16. The ones that don't, didn't know about DCS, and when they find out, they want it too. Falcon is old. They Falcon players want to fly with other aircraft types and enjoy all the advantages of DCS that Falcon doesn't offer. Please give us a Block 50/52.

I flew Falcon as well and I completely agree with you. For what it was, Falcon was awesome. I too am looking forward to learning the A10 and flying lower. The graphics in DCS are pretty darn good! I also like the fact that you can see cars and trucks moving on the roads. To me, that alone makes the DCS world come "alive". I have high hopes for DCS, the biggest one being the Block 50/52. I'm learning 3DS Max now, with the goal of building a cockpit. It'll be a fairly long process, but hopefully it won't take too long. From what I read, everyone here seems quite pleasant and helpful. I hope I can contribute something to DCS. Heck, even if it's a cardboard box sitting by a hanger! Lol

Unless a post is created by the team or by ED I won't touch a thing...

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
