Lightning Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Now after they finished FC2.0 the Eagle Dynamics coders can concentrate on A-10C and who knows ? They might be faster as planned :music_whistling: Until then we have enough training time to fly with the A-10A. At least we get some awsome Hardware from Thrustmaster and CH Products to play around :joystick: Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog will hit the shelves in June 2010 ! Eddie Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 It'll most likely be released in September, given that I go on deployment in the middle of September and won't be able to fly it. Not that I'm cynical or anything, it's just sod's law and bound to happen.
Lightning Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Wonder if the a-10c will have options for external fuel tanks... Arent they only used for long distance flights when Airplanes fly from Home Bases (Home Country) to foreign country military conflict areas ? Both, the A-10A and A-10C are optimized for CAS ( for the beginner Pilots : Close Air Support ) Missions , and i am sure that 2 external Fuel tanks would not be an optimal loadout for that type of missions. They are not a choosable option in a real military conflict mission. 1 best regards, GSG_9_LIGHTNING [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
My Fing ID Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I dunno but I can't wait. I'd buy it now if they have a working version. Hopefully they'll do a bit of a work up on the infantry, with this being CAS and all. Anyways, I'm ready to fly it, can't wait.

h00t74 Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 It would be nice to have them available for "Scenario Planning." Right now you can;t put them on the A-10. I have a few Mission Ideas and stuff that these items would help with.
kingneptune117 Posted April 1, 2010 Author Posted April 1, 2010 Its weird how my taste in jets changes. I used to hate the A-10 because of its speed but now I love it. Such a beastly aircraft with that huge gun. Feuerfalke Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Well, " coming spring" and "available in June" is not necessarily the same ;) Let's hope for June. Dude I don't see what your talking about. It clearly says "Coming spring". That mean it's going to be available in spring. They are not a choosable option in a real military conflict mission. As per The Modern Hog Guide, (great book, BTW), and I quote: "To increase the jet's range, the A-10 can carry up to three external fuel tanks. Each tank can hold up to 600 US gallons. Although stations 4, 6, and 8 are all plumbed for external fuel, it is exceptinally rare to see a jet with three tanks at once. It is far more common to have a single tank on the centerline than to carry two under the wings, due to the increased drag of two tanks vs. one. Unlike other modern jets, the A-10 does not carry the tanks into combat. They are only used during long cross-country flights, such as when a squadron deploys overseas." I only respond to that little mechanical voice that says "Terrain! Terrain! Pull Up! Pull Up!" Eddie Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Well, " coming spring" and "available in June" is not necessarily the same ;) Let's hope for June. Well, as June is the start of summer, logic would dictate that something released sometime in spring would be available in June. :music_whistling:
