garengarch Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Which version of FC? Vega 2700x /16Gb ram/480Gb SSD/1Tb Seagate/nVidia 2080/Win 10 64 bit Rift. T-flight pedals.
Wolf Rider Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 (edited) Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit Loaded LOCKON (CD and default path) then rebooted and did not start the sim... then installed Flaming Cliffs 2.0, FC2 install defaulted to the Eagle Dynamics Folder which also contains BackShark, then rebooted. Ran FC2 from the desktop shortcut, punched the serial number in and all was good. joey45 Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Any error messages?? or only a CTD?? The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. tonym Posted April 15, 2010 Author Posted April 15, 2010 Hi all Thanks for the replies. I have tried the various ideas without success. I am running windows 7 64 bit. I have downloaded what I thought ws the Starforce update "sfdrvup" and executed but when I try to play Lock on I get a message saying the driver is not compatible with my version of windows. When I check the protect.dll it is still a version from 2005. Help! Thanks TonyM

Thanks TonyM Just buy Flaming Cliffs 2.0 from http://www.lockon.co.uk (english) or http://www.lockon.ru (russian) it's only $29.99 and it works (without starforce updates) on Windows 7 (All versions)

After the patch you probably still have to update the starforce driver again. 71st_Mastiff Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 (edited) Theres your problem do not install programs in the C:\Program files\ directory. you need to install it in its own folder I.E "C:\Games\Eagle Dynamics\FC2" It works in win7 64bit you very vague about where when and how so give more info install location CPU specs. etc, etc, etc... isoul Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 (edited) I had DCS:BS install on my machine and I installed LOMAC+FC2.0. I am running it with no problems at all. As Mastiff is mentioning above, Win7 may cause you problems if you choose to install some games in the Program Files/Program Files(x86) forlders. Try another folder (I installed in d:\Games\Flamming Cliffs 2.0). Edited April 16, 2010 by isoul
