Just a few I've been playing tonight while I doing some stuff....

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

What, no ELP tributes? :(

These folks don't have the proper appreciation, apparently. ;)

Without actually seeing them live nothing else does them justice. It's been many years but I still have great memories of their performance, 1979 IIRC. Now that I think about it I was on a first date with a woman several years older and I impressed her by not being able locate the car in a freezing cold parking lot. Luckily she forgave me.

Losing two of the three in the same year is really saddening.

Too young for acquaintance, maybe, but definitely not too young for appreciation. :D

But seriously, that was just great music, thanks for sharing!

I like playing my Fender Jazz Bass and learning new songs with interesting bass lines (patterns usually).

Here is one. My bass has 4 strings, though.

Another version:

Sometimes can get bass clef notation and or tab. If not, take it slow, break it down measure by measure and work it out, step by step.

My two favorites on YouTube concerning bass covers are :

infusion26 (he plays strictly by ear and flawlessly)

and

Constantine Isslamow (he reads bass clef music notation and he is also flawless)

Given the time of year, I thought I would post one more of Greg Lake's finer performances. Ian Anderson on flute, for the Jethro Tull fans (which I am one of).
