luza Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Where have you programmed your trim? I tried to program the time to my throttle rotary bands, to little avail  : I'm loving my x52 pro. I finaly got my profiles set up for FC2 (working to perfect them as I learn more). I decided I wanted to set the trim to the twisting bands on the throttle. I start by setting the bands to directional Axis. Then I bind Trim up and down on one of them (Rctrl + .) (Rctrl + . Then I do the same for the other, but with the trim right and left (Rctrl + /) (Rctrl +,). I test it out using Test Profile, it works fine. I load up the game, load the profile, and it refuses to work ingame. I tried binding a band to G for landing gear, to see if the band even worked, this seemed to work fine. I try to remap the trim buttons in LOMAC FC2, to different key combinations, and then profiling it in the editor, works fine in test, then still no dice. Please I really need :helpsmilie: Much love, Luza [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SFJackBauer Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 I use the lower hat on stick. Throttle rotaries are twitchy. I use trim only for russian birds and A-10, though. Check if Force Feedback is disabled on producer.cfg, this gives troubles with trim if left on.
thaFunkster Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Yeah I did the same as you luza a while back and discovered you just cant program trim to the rotaries. I use the upper hat and the lower hat for view. It works much better on the hat. Funk on YouTube!
luza Posted July 4, 2010 Author Posted July 4, 2010 So it's not possible to program trim to the rotaries? Glad it's not just me with this problem! Will try what you suggest Jack, will reply when I've tried it [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
luza Posted July 4, 2010 Author Posted July 4, 2010 hey jack had a look in that file you said it looked like this : ForceFeedbackEnabled = true; ForceTrackIR3ProZoomAxisToXAxis = true; Do i change it to? ForceFeedbackEnabled = false; ForceTrackIR3ProZoomAxisToXAxis = true; [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
luza Posted July 4, 2010 Author Posted July 4, 2010 ? I'm kind of noob at code stuff xD [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
TeeJay82 Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 i use throttle trimmers, set axis trim to 10-100-100 and curv 40... bit more smoother trim
Sarge55 Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 I use a hat to trim the Su-25 and Su-25T and the throttle rotaries for the A-10A (don't fly the fast boys). TIR frees up the hat for trim. luza Posted July 4, 2010 Author Posted July 4, 2010 Sorry what is TIR? Sarge how did you get throttle rotaries to work, I tried disabling force feedback, still not working with rotataries, they just make my stick go balistic and not do any commands at anytime when I bind trim to them :< [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

luza Posted July 4, 2010 Author Posted July 4, 2010 (edited) ah I have* track IR, but I use the throttle hats for auto pilot, radar slew, and mode select :P edit* Edited July 4, 2010 by luza [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
HAE5904 Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 I just use buttons A & 8 for trim respectively. The upper tophat I use for target slewing and the lower for view.
Maulkin Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 I actually did not use the Saitek software to program the trim. Instead I just mapped the rotaries directly in the simulation. The thing with FC2 is that you have to map this for every aircraft you fly seperately, as each aircraft has a seperate configuration file. --Maulkin Windows 10 64-bit - AMD Ryzen 9 5900X @ 3.7 GHz - 32 GB DDR4 3600MHz RAM - EVGA FTW3 RTX 3080 - Asus Crosshair VIII Hero motherboard - Samsung EVO Pro 1 TB SSD - TrackIR 4 Pro - Thrustmaster Warthog - Saitek rudder pedals - Lilliput UM-80/C with TM Cougars
BKLronin Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 I´m using the lower hat on Mode 2(Navigation and Flight mode) for trim. Works pretty well as it´s more precise for tiny adjustments. In Mode 1(AttackMode) this hat is assigned for the shkval or other targeting systems. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
deadsmell Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 I use the Mouse wheel on the front side of the throttle. Up and down. Dont let the smell get to ya...............
Sarge55 Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Ah, sorry Luza. My bad, I forgot I programmed them in game for the A-10. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] i7 10700K OC 5.1GHZ / 500GB SSD & 1TB M:2 & 4TB HDD / MSI Gaming MB / GTX 1080 / 32GB RAM / Win 10 / TrackIR 4 Pro / CH Pedals / TM Warthog
