docehrenhoefer Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 visiting exactly this thread daily - after spending one whole night repeatedly looking for the Beta6 Update, as StrongHarm described above.
hog_driver111th Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 ... after flying a sortie and pretending to hit the tanker thinking "I wish Beta 6 was here so I could hit the tanker", then landing and alt+Tabbing out to check to see if Beta 6 was out... then going back up for another sortie while my wife complains that I do nothing but fly. 1 A-10C - FC3 - CA - L-39 - UH1 - P-51 - Hawk - BS2 - F-86 - Gazelle - F-5E - AV8B - F/A-18C i5-4590 - GTX 1060 - Oculus CV1 - TM:Warthog [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic9979_1.gif[/sIGPIC]

RodBorza Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 refresh, I need to go outside and get some air and talk to ppl. But outside is too far from my refresh button :joystick: All you need is a IPad or something similar. Then you can go outside, talk to people and keep refreshing. Once someone gets really boring, you could always say:"Beta 6 is out! gotta go! See ya!" :pilotfly: This is an amazing sim! 'Nuff said!:pilotfly: YouTube: SloppyDog

hog_driver111th Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 ...beta 6 still not published, so you start thinking about having sex with your wife again because you do not know something reasonable to do in your spare time. Knowing how sad it is that this is the same way I feel. It's the only other thing to occupy my time after complaining about the FPS associated with firing the gun and leaving the sim alone to look for Beta 6. Madman777 Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 When you get a sore neck, shoulders, arms, fingers, wrists and when you blink, your eyes burn. You have no eaten in two days and can't remember the last time (or place) you went to the bathroom.....is about the right time to put DCS A10C down. When to pick it back up again? After a quick shower, sh*t, shave, coffee and a bagel and we are good to go. If in an emergency skip all these steps and just start flying again. :-) i7-12700k, 32GB Ram, RTX 3060 12GB, TrackIR 5, Lots of SSD Space, etc etc DCS World - All the cool modules

Mar Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 I know I'm playing A-10 too much when I start checking fields to the side of the highway for SAM systems while I'm driving! From the shadows of war's past a demon of the air rises from the grave. "Onward to the land of kings—via the sky of aces!"
mia389 Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 I know I'm playing A-10 too much when I start checking fields to the side of the highway for SAM systems while I'm driving! Thats a good one
Kenan Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 You know you had too much of DCS: Warthog when: You stand in front of your own house and wonder how many 30mm rounds could it take You watch the passing cars and wonder how many HE hits would make them explode (one? two? More then two?!) You lost your job, your girlfriend about to dump you but you're still very proud of being able to ramp start the A10C Thinking about that last landing approach while driving to the grocery store Could the armour piercing round go through this concrete? Wow that girl is hot! Too bad she's not into DCS. When you get bored of DCS you start watching A10 youtube clips and when all ramped up, you go back to DCS and when you get bored you start watching A10 youtube clips again and..well, you catch my drift. You spent a sleepless night thinking "Could I do the startup on the real thing?" You have a dillema: "To eat or continue playing A10?" You have another dillema: "To pay bills or to keep playing A10?" Your best friend is now your worst enemy because he accidentally said DCS is a "fun game". ErichVon Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 I learned the PC in my age 50's, now I'm almost 60. Anytime, I am learning something new as to PC, I am totally mentally immersed. I find myself waking up 4 hours later, sitting more or less upright in my office chair, never realizing I went to sleep... That happens a lot. Have not done that yet, driving my car, but I saw a guy on the Interstate drive off the road and out into a farmer's field. He went quite a ways in that Cadillac before stopping. ...you think that you need to shutdown and sleep in order to go to work, and when you shutdown the sim you see that it is already time to go to work!
