Cowboy10uk Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Still use my Cougar covers from Hotascovers.com everyday, They look great on my desk, when im not simming. Im glad to Hear from Ninefinger, that they will also fit the Warthog. Theres many years left in those covers yet. :) However If there were some new designs being done, Im sure I could be pursuaded to get some new ones ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Fighter pilots make movies, Attack pilots make history, Helicopter pilots make heros. :pilotfly: Corsair 570x Crystal Case, Intel 8700K O/clocked to 4.8ghz, 32GB Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 3200 MHZ Ram, 2 x 1TB M2 drives, 2 x 4TB Hard Drives, Nvidia EVGA GTX 1080ti FTW, Maximus x Hero MB, H150i Cooler, 6 x Corsair LL120 RGB Fans And a bloody awful Pilot
slowhand Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 You can always go my way.I use 3 of the purple sacks that you get from the Crown Royal bottles 2 large ones for the throttle(Cougar) and 1 med size one for the stick. They work great and look cool. you may only need 2 for the WH. LOL See if you can get a 1/2 gallon sack that would cover the whole throttle..5x5:pilotfly: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] SMOKE'M:smoke: IF YA GOT'M!:gun_rifle: H2o Cooler I7 9700k GA 390x MB Win 10 pro Evga RTX 2070 8Gig DD5 32 Gig Corsair Vengence, 2T SSD. Eddie Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 If someone comes up with some nice red "remove before flight" covers, they'll be getting some cash from me for sure.
Avilator Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 @Eddie: Would you buy them if they were black with red "Remove Before Flight" streamers? Or do you prefer an entirely red cover? To everyone: How many letters and lines worth of embroidery would you like to see? I only respond to that little mechanical voice that says "Terrain! Terrain! Pull Up! Pull Up!" MTFDarkEagle Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 I've got me request: make the cover black, with the HOTAS Warthog logo on it, with the "Remove before flight" tags. Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
Avilator Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Request noted! I only respond to that little mechanical voice that says "Terrain! Terrain! Pull Up! Pull Up!" To everyone: How many letters and lines worth of embroidery would you like to see? Well, to be in keeping with the covers & blanks for real aircraft, they'd ideally be red with white embroidered/printed lettering. But I wouldn't object to any colour as long as they were well made.

They are only used on external blanks and pins.
Deadman Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 (edited) I think your forgetting about the pin and remove before flight streamers on the ejection seat arming handle and on the pitot tube of the parachute container and on top of the container but i could be wrong. Hum RED Covers interesting thought. stIndeed, there shouldn't be a streamer on blanks/covers inside the cockpit. They are only used on external blanks and pins. Hum RED Covers interesting thought. st Nope, I said external blanks and pins, meaning all pins (in or out of the pit). I'll admit, I didn't make that very clear though, but hey it's half 3 in the morning here.
Avilator Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 After browsing The Modern Hog Guide, this is what I can see: There are pins with streamers on the eject handles and the canopy jettison handle. The pitots on top of the seat have soft covers with a single streamer connecting both of them. The throttle has a hard shell that covers only the right side, and it also has a streamer. Avilator Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 I am not sure what you mean by Blanks but get some sleep we can talk about this any time thanks I think he means larger square covers to go over vents and such, as opposed to say, pitot covers.
