It looks like they are not easy to find, a few days ago I saw them in amazon, and they listed it as available, but they will be shipped in three weeks, that's too much time.

That's why I asked for another trusty online store, and SCSimulations look good and apparently they have it in stock.

Too bad you waited several weeks just to receive a call saying they are not in stock.

Cheers

  • 3 weeks later...
There is a seller on Ebay also with parts in stock.

Yes, and charging almost double what other regular retailers are selling them for- but- he has them in-stock, while almost every place I've looked, they're out. I may have to break down and pay the extra just to get them- since now Amazon has no ETA on the next shipment.

Just checked out their site... since I've never heard of them, I checked online for some reviews. Most of the reviews I found on this place was BAD... including claiming they have items in stock, when they really don't.

That was just one of a few places I found with bad reviews on them. Hmmmmm.

Funny, I contacted the seller on E-bay about the Cougars (according to his two auctions- the "buy it now" quantities showed 95 available on one and 25 on the other); I just couldn't imagine someone having that many in stock when everyone else is sold out. He writes back and says he has seven actually in stock!! Needless to say I purchased one. Considering everyone else online has no ETA for new shipments, I figured I better get while I had the chance.

Exactly! He has had a few negative feedback comments regarding the fact that sometimes he doesn't have the items in stock or that it takes him several weeks to ship- even though he says items normally ship the next business day. He does say tho, that inventory may not be correct at the time of sale due to selling in various other venues. So either he sells things and THEN orders them from the manufacturer- which is why sometimes it takes three weeks for him to ship... or... he is just hoping he has items in stock at the time someone buys. It really sucks that E-bay allows sellers to do that... especially considering the quantities that he is exaggerating. Saying he has over 100 available (between two listings), when in fact, he actually only had SEVEN. Not good.

I won't be surprised if this seller has been buying bulk from the manufacturer, or maybe even from other suppliers, so that when everyone is depleted, he is the only one with stock and then he can charge whatever price he likes to those desparate for one immediately.

Do not buy from http://www.audio-discounters.com/2960708.html or from http://www.sjgreatdeals.com/tmst2960708.html

They are the same stores in the exact same location in Lewis Center, OH with zero idea about how to take care of customers.

Those people have no idea about customer service at all. I placed an order with them a couple of weeks before Christmas and their site showed the same 23 in stock as they do now.

After being charged and nothing shipping in the estimated 24 hours I was given when order confirmation came out. I waited 2 more days and finally started trying to track down a real phone number that doesn't exist...only a fax number for that location in Ohio and its shared by another web site only business that shows the same item in stock.

Anyway long story short...they don't have the things and their customer service is only via email and probably from some chinese worker that just responds to emails that pop up with generic crap.

On a side note +1 for SCSimulations! Sheldon came back to me this morning and said that even though I was able to place an order for one last night...I shouldn't have been able to do so but their site allowed it to happen. Anyway I am keeping my order with them because of 2 things...#1 the guy popped in immediately with an answer to me and #2 they are good old southern boys.

I received my Cougar's yesterday from the seller on E-bay and they work perfectly (and are the ver.2, thankfully). I wonder why nobody has any stock on these- it's as if TM stopped manufacturing them or something. I mean, not even a "we got 20 in but they're gone"- just NOTHING... anywhere and no ETA's on any sites. Even though I paid almost double what most places charge, I guess I should consider myself lucky that I was able to get a set.

reschke... it is unfortunate you personally discovered what I had posted earlier about with audio-discounters; I always check out the reviews on places before I order from them for this exact reason. The only reason I ordered from the seller on E-bay was because he was quick to get back to me about how many he actually had in-stock, so I was confident he would come through, and he did.

Glad to hear it and I have a set on order from SC Simulations. IF it comes down to it I guess I will have to order from that eBay place as well. I usually check out everything about people I buy from online and I did not find anything bad about them until AFTER I had placed the order (audio-discounters that is).
