Im thinking about this...

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

I never had any really problems with the people that play BFBC2, but then again, I only play on hardcore servers, maybe there are more "idiots" on the regular servers.

I'll pass, too many idiots playing BFBC2 soured the experience for me after a very short time, doubt that'll change.

You'll find that with FPS generally, the key is to ignore them or single them out as targets ;). No discredit to you, but it's a shame that people can ruin an otherwise entertaining experience just by being idiots. I've had it happen to me before so I know how you feel.

It's a team-game, so it's kinda hard to ignore when your own team seems to be full of morons. Oh well, there is still TF2.

No dice, Dice.

I understand this frustration about idiots, when you came to play team oriented games like AAO, where morons die quickly, and team play even PUG does reward, its hard to get back to "regular" FPS. I droped them entirely.

Now i m curious about this hardcore mode, can someone elaborate ?

Thanks.

hardcore is the only way to play BC2. No minimap, no kill cam, no tagging enemies, no crosshairs for mounted weapons, friendly fire and it usually only takes 1 bullet to kill. Good snipers are super deadly as it's really one shot one kill. You'd think that the game would be full of snipers but hardcore mode isn't. I find there's alot more organised squads and people that actually want to complete the objective than just get kills.

Ironically I find it a lot easier to play as a team as you can actually do covert raids before the enemy knows where you are. No tagging means you actually have to communicate with your squad in calling out enemy locations and attacks.

Honestly, "hardcore" mode doesn't fit well into the game. Its a half-hearted attempt to turn it into something its not. I wouldn't have a problem with it if they went overkill to make hardcore different from normal gameplay, but they didn't. As for Vietnam... I never got into that game much, I was still enjoying Desert Combat on BF1942 to care. Although I am glad they brought back the best feature of Vietnam.... the MUSIC!!! I'm on the fence about this one though. I guess once its released I'll know exactly how much content is in there for 15 bucks.

If anything I hope this is a sign that they might actually step back to another era and Frostbite some of the classic 1942 maps. BF1943 was a joke on PS3, its just not fair to give a seasoned battlefield veteran replenishing ammo and health. But if they brought back all 5 classes, maybe with some unlocks, the artillery function, and the North African maps... I'd be first in line to pre-order.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

Best Vietnam Song from Battlefield Vietnam: The letter (Box Tops)

Lots of people in the forum recommended Bad Company 2, and since you are guys to be trusted :P, I bought it yesterday, played a bit last night, but good killed all the time, I had a K/D ratio of 0.26 :D But it looks like fun.

Don't know if I'll buy vietnam, because I don't like the setting so much.

Seem interesting, but hardcore for me is:

Death = Dead until end or "turn"

Turn end up as 1 team survived, times up or goal completed, exactly as AAO. The rest is make up.

Game has been pretty much ruined since the helo counter measures remove tracer darts. Even an average helo pilot can now own a server. If his gunner is an engineer they can go the whole map with 0-2 deaths :/

So I'll wait to see what Vietnam brings balance wise before spending any money

My name in BC2 is either Poor mans sniper or Trooper0315. I tend to use the 2 names on all my game accounts. Also, Are there really less snipers in hardcore? I mean, once I played a game in rush as the attackers and half my team were camping snipers. Heck, whenever I play sniper I at least use a red-dot so I can do CQB!
