So I just got these in and the rudder is great, but the toe brakes are all out of whack.

Windows control panel is reporting them always at 50% - 100% activation, even after calibrating. I got this to go away sometimes after I push the pedal a few times, but it comes back.

In game its showing 10-35% activation randomly, and when I let go of the pedal it RARELY returns to 0% and often returns to a random point between 10-45% activation.

And the saitek forum has been closed for registrations for months because of some "spamming" problem. How about they open the forum and get a moderator like every other forum?

I will be calling them Monday, if its a problem with the hardware I hope they have the cojones to ship a new set without me having to send mine back first and be rudderless for weeks. At a $200 price point, they better.

Its like the TM Warthog throttle problem all over again! New product, tons of bugs!

Mine showed up this morning so plugged them in before I left for work. Brakes also do not seem to zero out but stay about 15-20% in-game. Only had 15 or 20 minutes to play around with it but looks like I have the same issue. Just put a big deadzone to get around it but a bit disappointing.

Otherwise the pedal are great in terms of foot and brake position. Will check it out more tonight. Will change the angle of the brakes and see if that makes any difference.

Haven't had any time to mess around with changing the angles and away on work all this week.

But I did notice that if you release the brakes gently, they generally go back to a 0(ish) or about that position. Just dropping your foot off them can result in the brake signal not going to a min position.

Pots are not necessarily bad. I have a 24 year old bass guitar that has 3 pots and they work perfectly. No scratching, static or noise. I have other much newer bases where the pots are noisey.

If these pedals are using pots, hopefully they are quality components. If they are not quality, then I'll just have to find out what the best cleaner is for them. Some cleaners can make even cheap pots seem like quality pots for a long time.

Then again, I've always had my eye on some simpeds, but the $$$ is a little daunting!

My CH Pedals have pots. They take as much abuse as anything else I own and they're doing great! (Actually, the toebrakes are iffy, but that's a mechanical issue, not the pot itself.)

Not wrong with pots. Military, medical equipment... use then.

The problem is that joystick industry - exception CH - use the more cheap possible pots, someone say ~0,10U$ (in lot).

These Saitek Combat pedal is a curious case: take a not much accept product (Saitek PRO Pedal) with conventional pots, put a new metal foot rest, double the price... and game community WOW!!!

LOL, very interesting, and i deserve the google slap...

Well i wonder why they haven t put a door so we could remove the thing in a easy way.

Its interesting how comunities are able to improve industry roduct a few weeks/days after it been realeased.

And i am only buying the saitek stuff because for the price given there s nothing near, as you know anything beyond 500USD end up 4X the market price to get here.

If TM would have spitted in their own products i would still use my TM RCS hall sensed.

For your Thrustmaster HALL sensed, the best option is one these:

http://www.leobodnar.com/products/DFPG25conn/

When wired correctly you can use then as conventional gameport pedal plugged in Cougar base, or connected in this device, as stand alone USB pedal.

Note: This is not one these ordinary gameport/USB adapter, Chinese made.

Did i get this correct: The combat rudder pedals feature basically the same innards as the standard pro flight pedals only with the damping unit and the adjustable toe brakes? YGBKM, Saitek.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Yes i tryed them and (the chinese) and it didn t work much. I didn t know about this box, but it would seem it would have to work with an gameport to db15 device...

Anyway my saitek pedals are already on Brazilain soil.

Thank you for the information.

Why are you so surprised ? They doesn t seems to be that diferent does them ? And companies usually fight for the greatest profit upon the effortless solution.

The new pedals are the same base as the old ones, the new ones have a metal top end where as the old ones have plastic foot pedals, they have always used pots so the new Combat Rudder Peddals use pots.

If you have further inquiries please do not hesitate to get back to us.

I have an inquiry, where can i put the hall sensor instead of the pots. :music_whistling:

Well i just tested my saitek pedals and i quite happy they are more confortable than any rudder system i ever put my feets on.

The toe breaks works fine but for a slight "doesn t reach end of pot travel" and a little too over sensitive near the beginning al solved by deadzoning.

So for now i m quite satisfyed. If onlt TM could get straight and fix the trottle bricking issue.

Is it possible the DCS is not reading the toe brakes fast enough. When I look at them in the Windows control panel it show the toe brakes always going to zero when I lift me feet off the left and right toe brakes. When I watch them in DCS A-10C they don't always return zero depending on how fast I lift my feet.

I'm also interested in buying the Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals, but I have a very simple question:

I know you need the pedals to steer the plane on the ground (taxiway and runway) or during the landing when you have cross wind and you also brake the plane after the landing. But do you need the pedals also during the flight?
