159th_Viper Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Set Auto-Lase to on and set time that laser will activate prior to impact via DSMS. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? SmokeyTheLung Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 (edited) By default auto lase is now turned off. You can adjust that setting in your DSMS, or you can manually lase using the NOSE WHEEL STEERING BUTTON. EDIT: sniped, headshot... BTW, great name topper harley. PhoenixBvo Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Either manually lase with the NWS button on the stick, or go to the corresponding DSMS weapon profile page (via VIEW PRO > CHG SET) and set AUTO LS to on & LS TIME to 12 (by scratchpad). Click SAVE and you're set. Insanatrix Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Do you still have to activate the profile every time you select the weapon? I know for setting ripple quantities for rockets and bombs you have to set it, hit save, go back and hit activate profile before the profile is active. If you then deselect the munition you have to go back and select go to profile page and act profile again.
Aylward Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 why was autolase turned off anyway ?? is it really desired action to have to manually activate that when you are deploying a PGM ?? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] please... please... please... let the next DCS module be an F-18 fighter aircraft :worthy:
sobek Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 why was autolase turned off anyway ?? is it really desired action to have to manually activate that when you are deploying a PGM ?? It is desired that you program your weapon profiles according to the mission. ;) Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Eddie Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Based on the information ED have obtained from their SMEs, most hog pilots prefer to manually lase their targets.

effte Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 It is desired that you program your weapon profiles according to the mission. ;) Aaaagh, all the configuring is getting to me! It is desired to be able to preconfigure it all through a better interface and pop it on your virtual datastick as you click yourself out to the aircraft! :D I know it says "translator" under your nick, but you're a smart guy. Go program that feature now! I won't tell anyone you did it. ;) Cheers, Fred ----- Introduction to UTM/MGRS - Trying to get your head around what trim is, how it works and how to use it? - DCS helos vs the real world.
