-Ice Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Hey guys. I was wondering how to repair the A-10? I managed to get one back to base but the mission was not yet finished. I can find the Rearm and Refuel command, but no Repair. Any help appreciated. - Ice
YoYo Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 I think it isnt simply like refuel or rearm ;) Webmaster of http://www.yoyosims.pl Win 10 64, i9-13900 KF, RTX 4090 24Gb OC, RAM 64Gb Corsair Vengeance LED OC@3600MHz,, 3xSSD+3xSSD M.2 NVMe, Predator XB271HU res.2560x1440 27'' G-sync, Sound Blaster Z + 5.1, TiR5, [MSFS, P3Dv5, DCS, RoF, Condor2, IL-2 CoD/BoX] VR fly only: Meta Quest Pro
Focha Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Just wait about 3 minutes with engines off. Ask for Ground Power, that way you dont lose avionics power. Regards. Scout Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 You have to be parked at the base and you need to shut your engines down and wait 3 minutes, and your ACFT will be repaired. Restart your engines and get back to work. :) EDIT: SNIPED!! jeffyd123 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 When I land, I fire up my APU then engage it when i park, shut down engines, then refuel/ rearm. When the last call of "completed" comes from the ground crew, i reset my clock and in 3 minutes the plane should be fixed. I have seen a lot of problems come up after the repairs are done however, things like hydraulic pressure and other weird things. I generally just get a new plane if I have any damage at all. If the plane is fine when i land, i will do refuel/rearm. i7 8700K @ 4.4Ghz, 16G 3200 RAM, Nvidia 1080Ti, T16000 HOTAS, TIR5, 75" DLP Monitor
Scout Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Its a issue with the engines. You either have to wait till the temperatures of your engines on the ITT gauges read below 150 Degrees C. either by waiting it out or buy motoring the engines to cool them off. System Specs: MSI Big Bang Fuzion P55 1156, Intel Core i5-661 OC to 4.17GHz, EVGA GTX660TI 3GB, Corsair 750W PSU, 8 GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 PC3 12800 1600MHz, Creative THX Quantum Wave True Studio, Windows 7 Pro 64bit, Corsair Hydro H70 CPU Cooler, Saitek Pro Flight Yolk System, Pro Flight Rudder Pedals, X52 Pro, TrackIR 5 with Pro Clip
-Ice Posted March 27, 2011 Author Posted March 27, 2011 Thanks guys. So there is no actual "call" for repairs, just ground power on, turn off engines and sit there? Weird. - Ice
Scout Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 You Got It:thumbup: System Specs: MSI Big Bang Fuzion P55 1156, Intel Core i5-661 OC to 4.17GHz, EVGA GTX660TI 3GB, Corsair 750W PSU, 8 GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 PC3 12800 1600MHz, Creative THX Quantum Wave True Studio, Windows 7 Pro 64bit, Corsair Hydro H70 CPU Cooler, Saitek Pro Flight Yolk System, Pro Flight Rudder Pedals, X52 Pro, TrackIR 5 with Pro Clip
fragged Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 1. As said, engine ITT has to be at 150c or lower. Motor your engines after shutdown to cool them down for faster restart. 2. As said, ask for ground power to keep CDU and other flight computers online during the time your engines are not providing electricity. Going from engine/APU/engine power will reset some of the systems.
HiJack Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Does the repair give you a new aircraft with all the switches reset like in the Ka-50?
jeffyd123 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 no, nothing is reset. thanks for the info on motoring the engines... Ill try that out. i7 8700K @ 4.4Ghz, 16G 3200 RAM, Nvidia 1080Ti, T16000 HOTAS, TIR5, 75" DLP Monitor
Ootoito Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Hi, The plane is repaired fully? failures in CDU systems too? thx
Spectre_USA Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Yessir. All panels open, jacked up in the air, and the crew chief on the intercomm keeps asking, "Hey, what are you doing?" Once the jet is dropped the foot and a half back to the ground, all panels close, and you are ready to rock. Spin the engines back up, ask for ground power to be switched off, ask for clearance, and go incite some more mayhem! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] A tale of 2 hogs
Nu-NRG Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Just wait about 3 minutes with engines off. Ask for Ground Power, that way you dont lose avionics power. Regards. Just did this. Tho I kicked APU and APU GEN in this time :P After ~3 min the aircraft is gona lift up, you are gona see hatches open and shortly after that close. At that same time you will see that damage is gone :D Aviate - Navigate - Communicate
Nu-NRG Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Can rearm/repair/refuel be done anywhere on the airfield or do you have to be parked in a specific spot? Aviate - Navigate - Communicate
BlackRazor Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 IIRC rearming and refueling requires you to park in specific spots and of course it also requires you to land on allied airfields, neutral airfields will not have these options.

My landing gear was broken from battle damage and I couldn't roll off the runway and I was fine for rearm + refuel + repairs.
