I'm working on a software that will allow you to configure indicators form DCS in an easy way.

 

Jus select your LUA monitor Setup and check/uncheck the indicators and place/resize them as you want on your screen, save an play!

 

For helios owners it's an easy way to setup your indiwators while having helios running, no need to edit manually files and run multiple times DCSW

 

EDIT 2/18/2013 : New Version available, fully compatible with DCS: World.

 

Modules included :

 

A-10C (Both MFCDs, RWR, CDU, CMSC, CMSP, UHF frequencies, UHF channel preset, UHF Repeater, Clock)

KA-50 (ABRIS, Shkval, UV26, PVI, Caution Lights, Ekran)

FC3 is planned but will not be included before the release of the final version of this module

Kneeboard will be released with the management software.

 

You can also manage the center view size and position and the ingame GUI usefull for those with multiple monitors

 

Known Issues : In A-10C module CDU and CMSC are truncated in EMC view this sis due to th way ED managed this two viewports, the viewport is not rendered in the zone set by lua monitor file as the ekran in KA-50 module only the bottom part of the ekran is readed from lua file to set the viewport size and position (look at gif below to see what i mean).

 

PS: ED devs can you have a look at this three viewports please?

Anymore progress on this Icemaker.

It looks just what I need, as I am having probs getting them in postition.

Or should I say getting them into ANY position. LOL

You can move elements by mouse or keyboard arrow keys, you can move faster by pressing Shit + Arrows.

You can resize elements by mouse or NumPad - and NumPad +

You can select any element by pressing alphanumeric keys from 1 to 0

creating "Easy Monitor Configurator.msi"

 

says

(msi) can not be opened .. verify is valid Windows Installer package

using win7 x64

perhaps this needs some windows files??

 

or perhaps the french host is overloaded? and sends bad files? / upload to a mirror?

workaround: install on x86 notebook, start over network

 

.. and works as advertised !

 

.. port MFCD's to 2nd monitor

.. use - now free - Helios to port MFCD OSB panels to same

.. size to fit

 

et voila, you can OSB the MFCD's from your second (or anywhere) monitor !

 

unfortunately cannot find a ready made CDU (no transparancy for screen), WIP

many other panels ready made (by users)

Uh No you are very wrong. Helios does the cockpit and export switch positions, guages etc, but these are specificaly the things that Helios can't do.

 

EDIT:

This is excellent stuff. Easy to install and rewrites all the lua files without you having to do anything other than position the outputs where you want them. Extremely useful addition to our fantastic hobby.
