Machinist Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 With the latest patch, it seems all of the low frequencies have disappeared, and everything sounds undewhelming and tinny. I'm only using stereo speakers or headphones which have served me well until now. Has anyone else noticed this, or have I gone mad?
Qazme Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 It sounds exactly the same on my end. Check your audio configuration?
BKLronin Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Everything fine for me. I noticed that the gau sound changed a bit (better) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Nate--IRL-- Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Perhaps your speaker setup is set to quadraphonic or 5.1 in windows? If this is the case, you will be missing a lot of sounds if only listening through stereo headsets. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Bahger Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 So do you recommend changing Win audio settings to stereo before using a headset?

latearrival Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 (edited) @Machinist - you hadn't previously applied Nate's bass boost mod had you? Nate described it here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1172356&postcount=7 and you could downloaded it from here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1172356&postcount=7 @Nate - I had previously used your mod and thought the sim sounded better. Do you know if it will still work in 1.1.0.8? wtfisgoingon Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 Another tip. In windows, as well as soundcard settings make sure to use 2.1 for headphones.
