Ujfortunately just discovered that it also crashes when I try to input any data into the various fields for mission data card iOS 3.1.3(7E18 ) iPOD model MC011C Yikes! That's my fault for not fully implementing this for a true iOS 3.x device. I have an iPhone 4, the only device I have to test it on (and with Xcode, I can't test in a pre-iOS4 simulator). I think the problem you're having with the ejection button covering the other buttons (assuming you're running a 1st -3rd generation iPod touch) is due to the resolution difference between devices. Since I'm not a professional programmer, I really don't know why you're having the issues you're having with crashes... I do apologize for that though! Perhaps it has something to do with smaller amount of memory in early iPod Touches. If you have an iPad, I suggest you try it on that when I finish making it. There won't be any issues like this reverse compatibility we're seeing here. TM Warthog, TPR, TM MFDs, Pimax Crystal, AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D. PrivateSpanky Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Love the app too Sickdog! It would be great it you could included the default weapon loadouts from multiplayer as a suggestion. The update cut off some of the description from the screen, and talking to a few pilots online, I'd think this could also be very useful to include. They are located on pg.645 of the giant flight manual. Great app though! Definately will donate!
Headspace Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Hey sickdog. I tried this on my iPhone. Pretty cool.

I'm looking at page 645 of the latest version of the Flight Manual and I'm seeing JTAC radio information. I've searched the entire flight manual and can't find the list of load-outs. If anyone can give me a list of the load-outs, I'll start implementing this into the next update, along with the iPad version which is getting on its way. Thanks! Sickdog Posted June 22, 2011 Author Posted June 22, 2011 Does anyone have a list (or know where to find it) for the load outs in the radio comms when rearming? I'd like to include this in the next update for the iPhone and for the new iPad app, but can't find it in the manual, on the forums, or in the lua files (limited searching in the luas tho). And thanks for all the latest positive feedback, it keeps me motivated to continue putting time into it and improve the app! Again, sorry for those of you with iOS 3.x devices, I've tested it on my original iPhone with 3.x and I see the problems first hand. I'm working on a fix for these issues, but might take some time. Wow, I thought you were hosed there for a minute. Well, I know my iPhone original was updated to latest iOS and it exhibits the same issues you reported...strange. Glad to hear it's running ok now. I imagine the issue with the large ejection button is still there as that might have to do with the resolution of the iPhone 4. I should be able to fix that. Anyone else running something less than an iPhone 4 or iPod touch 4th generation experiencing issues? Please let me know so I can work on fixing it. And Doom, what do you mean by "mission AAR reports"? What's AAR, Briefing? Debrief? One tiny request - any chance you can make it expandable to iPad size? You're very welcome, glad it's coming in handy for you. :) And yes, iPad version is in the works... Here's a couple screen shots of the checklist portion... Been stuck on this for awhile, making it rotate the way I want (perfectly, I guess!) and just had a major break through... the rest of the checklist should be a snap. Although, now I'm curious to be able to edit the checklist... opening a big can of worms, but I'm sure a lot of people would like to use their own checklist instead of the ED flight manual's version... toby23 Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Sickdog, you're welcome to use the Checklist that I made based on real life procedures. I'll add any changes, if necessary, after the 1.1.0.9 update. It would also be great if you could possibly add the NATO names to enemy units. This would make it easier for numbnuts like me to quickly find who's trying to kill me! Sickdog Posted June 30, 2011 Author Posted June 30, 2011 Really like your App! When do you think the Ipad version is ready? Thanks! Chugging away on it when I can, super super busy flying around these days. But I'm getting closer. I could probably slap it together so it's a simple functioning version of the iPhone app sooner, but with the larger screen I'm trying to "enhance" certain UI features (full iPad orientation support for example, which requires a lot of work to make it just right!). Here's what's completed:Checklist, emergency procedures, airbase charts. Currently working on: Encyclopedia section. To do: Mission Data Card (probably going to be most work intensive to port over) Sickdog, you're welcome to use the Checklist that I made based on real life procedures. This would make it easier for numbnuts like me to quickly find who's trying to kill me! Thanks for a great app by the way. You're welcome! Yes, I was planning on enhancing the checklist portion at some point. Ideally, I'd like to make it customizable so everyone can use the checklist of their choice. It might be too difficult (or just take too much time, I've got a lot I "want" to do). So perhaps I could get a vote from the users of the app of what checklist they'd like to have... or maybe support multiple checklists that I could feature. Thanks for the offer though, I might take you up on that when I get to addressing it in future updates. Sure, adding NATO names will be easy to do (if you want to give me a list of those NATO names and which units they apply to!) Oops, I guess that was the .7 manual... i'll try n' find em for you .8 manual, but I'm sure it's close to the same page number. My bad.
