ok this is making me mad. whenever i get hit with like one bullet of AAA fire my MFD's shut down. like one bullet hits me and my plane freaking blows up. :noexpression: is it me or does it happen to everyone. and how do you turn your mfd back on :helpsmilie:

You can't turn it back on and yes, depending on where the bullet hits it happens to everyone. The electronics are very sensitive as they're not armored. When one line of the corresponding MFD gets damaged, the MFD is gone. Now, when one MFD is out, that's no mission kill! You still have full functionality with one MFD (you can program which different sub-menus you want to have available for use)

See the debrief screen and you'll see that it was a wee bitty more than 1 bullet.

Stop flying through explosive hail. It voids your warranty.

I have nothing to backup this, but I also find it hard to believe MFDs die this fast in a real A-10...

Nice plane on that gun...

I like it how the entire fuselage is practically perforated but not a single scratch in the canopy ;)

I doubt this happens when your engaging AAA with mavericks. If your trying to kill AAA with gravity bombs, climb higher before release. If your getting shot by AAA when trying to kill them with the cannon, don't get so close. 1.5nm is plenty close enough even for a zeus.

Running on a backup system using a profile without the pinkie switch mapped. It was also a practice run with Mk-82Airs, I was low enough that they would have had to be dead already not to know I was there.

The only thing protected in any way is the pilot. Most of the electronics are outside the titanium bathtub, and have virtualy no protection.

I hope you're smarter than that... Virtually every system on the plane has redundancies- often multiple layers of them- to a. Protect the pilot b. keep the plane fighting c. get the plane home

While the pilot is certainly the most important component contained within the tub, the entire plane is built for maximum survivability from tip to tip

That was a great choice of weapon! I highly concur!

Why it's always the LEFT mfcd that bites the dust? Have any of you suffer a right mfcd failure? It never happened to me...

would it matters....:music_whistling:
