If you re really spoiled you won t even be able to fly FC2 a10 anymore...lol.

Imagine what will it be if next module is f15...

Better be f18 then...

Succellus,

As much as I loath the F-16s, the next module will probably be that. God dammit!

ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

Don't fly in ArmA2 then.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Nope you are wrong on the F-16...I do believe it will be the F-18 Hornet..to counter the FSX SuperBug..from Vertiual Reality...and their TacPac...:music_whistling:

Remember this is a business and you have to out perform the competition..

I don't think that's necessarily correct. Trying to outperform the opposition isn't always the best business sense. You can completely avoid them and gain a market share that way. FA/18 vs FA/18 would split a community, as for those happy with the VRS product there would be no good reason to make a move to the DCS engine. Something like an F15E would pull over those from F4 and Superbug simply because it is a new fresh product.

I think it's generally best to be innovative (e.g the KA50/A10c) as it is guaranteed to interest people, rather than to try to outdo something which has already been done (to a very high standard, judging by the reviews of the VRS Superbug). Anyway, I wouldn't imagine that the dynamics of the civilian flight simulation market have much (if any) implication on the air frame we receive.

Despite that I still think the next simulator is probably the Hornet, based on the limited evidence we have available.

F16 would imediately bring all falconites still alives into a frenzy. The Cougar is there, "cheap".

The other contender F18 would bring carrier ops, but map must be expanded or another theater set. Caspian sea ain t exactly a good theater for a CBG. But since they ll bring us nevada 1.9, then some desert theater wouldn t be that far wouldn t it ?

Also ED team asked for as much info and high res pictures from CVN 70 as can be brought. Even if not CVN 70 which other plane would it be ?

Both planes have various countries retrofitting worldwide, which is very nice for sim mil contract (such doesn t happens for the F15).

I am quite confident we'll see one of the 2. Unless ED take us by surprise and sim a Russian one.

Nope people were asking for a Hornet long before VRS was working on their SH, if ED do a Hornet it won't be a SH as they probably do not have enough information. Its more likely VRS could work with ED on a VRS addon for DCS if ED released an SDK than the two compete which is unlikely.

A split is unlikely as believe it or not Simmers would buy both in the case of Tacpac it opens FSX up to combat mods for global combat. There is alot of potential there but its not going to be on the same level as DCS for a while it would be like a new sim that needs to be scultured into a master piece. People will buy both as both are awesome.

Is that a fact? I honestly don't know but if that's ture then group hug all around. At last the battle has been won. :D

Bearitall,

ED choice of flyables relies on military contract, and I know for a fact that I don't know jack. :D

True...it is also a business...or they would not be doing this...developement of Sims..whatever next Model they choose to make..I am sure they have learned to go all out...and make them are real as possible..preventing the look of an Arcade look..kuddo's to them..but I do believe as a sim developement they should also looked at the aspect of those who tend to alter the sim to their advantage..during Sim Flight..to get a higher score..and developed an anti-cheat ..or something along those lines...:music_whistling:

A ground combat simulator with vehicles thrown in for fun and immersion factors. Flight models are not sim quality nor are ground vehicles performance (though ground is closer than air).

Can be played online coop or pvp, but coop is the most prevalent mode. Maps are roughly 225km x 225km.

Also a perfect sandbox for single player.

Operation Arrowhead is stand alone expansion to ArmA2. If you're going to buy, I suggest getting ArmA: Combined Operations.

Of course, ArmA2 is Free-To_play now too :)

Comparison chart is at the bottom of what you get vs actually buying it ;)

A F/A-18 module would be awesome.

That said, I still probably need a year to learn the two already existing DCS's so I'm not in a hurry. Hehe.

Friends want CAS when we play...

JTAC is working very well too in "ArmA2: Operation Arrowhead" :)

Just saw it on the last MP session. We blown up the shilkas in town, then called in A-10 CAS. Two guys were lasing armored targets (T-72's, BMP's, BRDM's) and the A-10 guy took them out with MAV's and GBU-12. :pilotfly:

Was pretty cool.

A mod called Domination.

Take X amount of towns and do side missions to gain Armour and other stuff.
