Yes, I game on a 120" diagonal screen (16:9 aspect ratio) at 1368x768. To do this, you have to establish the graphics settings you want in the LOMAC options menu, and then manually edit the ".\Lock On\Config\graphics.cfg" file simulator info like this...

Simulation

{

resolution = {1368, 768};

bpp = 32;

fullscreen = 1;

aspect = 1.781250000;

}

Once you change the file, you can start LOMAC and the changes will be in effect. Note, if you go into options and change any graphics options afterward, the aspect ratio in the graphics.cfg file will get reset to 4:3 and you'll have to modify the file again.

Works like a charm for me. LOMAC is actually one of the few simulators (or games for that matter) that correctly handles user configurable aspect ratios instead of stretching your picture horizontally (having a true 3D cockpit helps). Looking at the round cockpit gauges on my widescreen, they are aspect correct :-)

Hope that helps,

really, i didn't know, i know some people tried to do it before but didn't get it right. I haven't got a widescreen lcd yet, but my brother has, n i didn't seen anything about 1.1 having widescreen. Great news if it is standard (no file edits). I ordered a dell widescreen lcd on ebay, but got robbed! lost lots of money. still trying to pay for one form dell now they are out in australia! Flying lessons cost too much $200 bucks a week! but better doing the real thing though.

Great work ED top stuff.

Thanks for that, ill have to give that a go. I hope widescreen gaming becomes a standard thing soon. Not even BF2 does it properly, which really blows. Anyways thanks for that info.

One thing I did notice when I was using a widescreen, when you looked back to the wing at the edge of the screen, then you can see things start to distort and stretch.

But that was it. And it was very annoying to have it reset everytime.

Mainly because the Su25T needs different axis curves, and so I had to re-edit the file if I switched AC.

I'm going to stray off the beaten path for just a sec, but doesnt Kasatka translate into Killer Whale? And also correct me if I am wrong but isnt the Kasatka a troop transport and not an antitank chopper?

That is a mock-up. No such rotorcraft ever flew. :) Turkey wants Super Cobras anyways, if they can get them.

Regarding the other? Basically a Ka-52 with some Western equipment. I don't think they are doing anything with two seats.

Look at all that electronics in the tail.

1 good .50cal rounds.........

well, nobody's perfect...

As many other military helicopters, like Mi-24, Mi-28, AH-64, Ka-50 Black Shark used armouring plates only to protect cockpit. it's mostly a weight\thrust problem.

"There are five dangerous faults which may affect a general: recklessness, which leads to destruction; cowardice, which leads to capture; a hasty temper, which can be provoked by insults; a delicacy of honor which is sensitive to shame; over-solicitude for his men, which exposes him to worry and trouble." Hello to you all,

At Maks 2005 i was together with Joe Kurr and we were at the 1C stand and had our hands on the stick of the KA 50, Black Shark 1.2 Beta version!!!!!!:)

Very nice modeling and smooth game play!

The cockpit is very nice done, but there was no Track IR attached so we could't checkout the 6pdof.

The damage model wasn't finished yet, but overall the sim looked and felt very good:)

Cheers!
