So I went with Beechs configuration and broke the manual into three parts. Ordered from mimeo.com and ran me just over $43 shipped to CA USA. Sorry Reaper couldn't wait and funds are tight right now.

As I said before , Im in . Have you any idea of the cost plus postage within Europe please ..... round about figure ?

Not 100% sure of the final costs involved yet, but It's looking to be in around 40-50 euro with postage.

Which version of the manual are you working with. The one that shipped with 1.2.0 or the one that was supposed to?

I believe the copy I'm working with is the one that shipped with 1.2.0, thanks for posting the link to that thread.

I have started to make all the corrections that have been listed as of to date.

I suspected as much. Seems like getting an up to date copy is just not possible.

Good question. I would PM derelor since he is supposed to be the keeper of the manuals.

Yes I'm interested in a good printed copy of the manual too. You can add my name to the list :-) (if there is one) :-P

Don't ask me for advice on these Two Subjects:

1.. How to Take Off in the Dora!

2.. How to Land the Dora!

UNLESS YOU WANT TO DIE!

After seeing the comprehensive list of fixes that derelor was correcting for the Manual, I've started to Incorporate all the corrections into the manual and recommended fixes that are listed in the Thread. :thumbup:

Also corrected any of the images that are listed.

Should have some pics of the Printed Manual soon including the Dividers that I'm creating for the different sections, these came out very well and I'm very happy with them. :smartass:

Excellent stuff! Can you not contact derelor or ED directly to get the latest manual, so you won't have to do all the changes?

Hi MTFDarkEagle - The Manual I have in the one that shipped with V1.2.0 (That I got from ED) and so had most of the earlier fixes already included form Derelor.

I am updating it with the latest batch of fixes as listed in derelor's thread and also incorporating his recommended fixes and diagram changes.

So once printed it will be the most up to date version available. :thumbup:

As taken from http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=78443

ie: I'm also updating the Manual with these fixes

orange: inaccuracy in current version of the sim. Should be updated once it has been fixed in the sim

p. 104

... and has a LGD (-> LDG) GEAR DOWN ... (see here for more info)

p. 138

figure 109: Labels for EAC and Radar Altimeter ("RDR ALTM") are missing

p. 168 (figure 128 )

T R -> T/R

A A Rec -> A/A Rec

A A T R -> A/A T/R

p. 427

Figure 307: (same as p. 168, figure 128 )

T R -> T/R

A A Rec -> A/A Rec

A A T R -> A/A T/R

p. 436 + 437

Engine Start Sequence needs to reflect changes in v1.1.0.8:

explanation for caution missing when left engine reaches 50% core fan RPM (see here for details)

p. 660

XRMF: 08-26 (bug: Mozdok has RWYs 08 and 27 in the sim)

As most of the above diagram images are Incorrect in-game, I have updated the manual images with correct versions. As I'm sure the in-game graphics will be fixed at some stage. (Simple graphic edits)

Have you a rough guestimate of when it will be ready , and a rough cost please ?

Ive been askin for ages , but no reply yet .

I'm guessing between 40 and 50 euro once I have all the costs worked out, should be ready to start printing soon.

But it will be a slow process as it will be done in my spare time - so will take orders in small batches. :thumbup:

Thanks derelor, I'll hold of printing for now - Till I can confirm that what I've updated in the Manual corresponds to those revisions. :thumbup:

I just got my copy of the printed manual from Lulu for about $21 shipped after a 25% off coupon code. Big thanks to The-Sky for the Lulu link!!!

It's a pretty nice printing. The pages are very bright white and smooth with no grit feeling that some laser printers seem to leave behind. It's a "perfect bound" paperback book meaning it's bound with adhesive. The edges are perfect and appear to have been guillotine cut.

The images look to be printed pretty dark, like the contrast was pumped up for the print.

But you soon learn why when you see how well the CDU screen images came out. Printing them off on my own they were barely readable. Lulu's copy is a level of contrast that makes them easily readable.

All in all, it's a really nice copy at a great price and way better quality than I could have printed off on my own. It appears to be the 1.1.0.9 version as it seems to have all of the green corrections from the correction thread, but none of the pedantic ones in red. It's 671 pages long and somehow seems to have lost a page compared to the latest version somewhere in the startup checklist area, but I can't figure out precisely where though because a few steps are in a different order and it's pretty late. The only criticism I have is that the paper seems to be kind of thick like regular ol' #20 pound copy paper. It would have been nice if it were a little thinner to cut down on the weight (4 pounds or 1.8 kilos) a bit.

Turned out pretty good, the price is nice. Any idea what their international shipping charges are like?

Do you find any issues with the misalignment of the gluing on the spine, or doesn't it matter in practice?

Posted

I find glue disbonds quite quickly .

Im holding out for the ones originally mentioned in this thread , as they seem to be updated , and I said that I would buy one from the start ..... and their bound .
