Every PC gaming instinct I have, honed from decades of frustrations and disappointment, tells me it is impossible for a game to be this complex, this niche, this beautiful, and this bug free. Normally you can be one, or two of these things. But all four?!

 

I don't know how you do it. Every mission I fly at some point I shake my head in amazement at the achievement. Salut.

Yeah. I've been really busy, haven't flown in around two months. Flew today, and just had a big smile on my face the entire time. Was great!

Yeah,,, Ive am still learning,, dont get alot of time daily to train, but when I do,,, its unreal! Yeah,, there is still a bit of frustration here and there,,, still some bugs,, but at least they are attentive,,,,, the support in this forum alone is top shelf,,,,, I hope I get good enough to do multi player some time before the end of the year hahahaha,,,,,You want realism,,, go no furthur!

Yea, we get a new "Thanks ED!" or "This sim is amazing!" thread about every other week. If it was any other topic, GGTharos and 159_Viper would probably have a dedicated "Thanks ED" thread that all these posts would get moved to. But hey, I'm not going to begrudge ED for appreciating cheap affection :D

We just have to accept the fact that some people don't seem to understand that there is a reason for all sub-forums. Some people, never post anything anywhere else. Look at all the moved threads lately, and note how many come from the same poster(s).

Not to go on a crusade or anything, but you can blame the digital downloads for that. (at least partially) That includes steam, direct2drive, piracy, etc.

You can also "blame" the fact that gaming went mainstream - but did so on the console, not the PC. (No surprise: console is easier to get and operate for non-nerds, and cheaper than a "gaming rig") Thus, the combination of consoles being the "big boy" as far as sales volume, and PC's being a bit ahead of the curve with digital delivery, PC sales on brick and mortar became a diminished phenomenon.
