Galwran Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Hi. Is it possible for a human-controlled Warthog to see targets that are designated with a laser by a human controlled Ka-50? Sure, they might not be compatible in real life, however if there ever was a war in which they would fight alongside each other, I believe that there would be some kind of a field modification to the laser spot tracker  It would be really cool to drop LGBs in to a target designated by a hovering Ka-50. Maybe this could be done by forcing the default Ka-50 laser code to be "1688" even though there would be no other compatible functions/datalinks.
sobek Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 [...] They would use smoke markers. Laser compatibility is not realistic and is therefore, AFAIK, not going to be part of the sim. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!

Rider1 Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I though human controlled KA50's were the targets for the A10. :D
andysim Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I though human controlled KA50's were the targets for the A10. :D Not Untill the next patch hehe. I cant see the Ka50 having much chance against a fixed wing groundponder. Then again stranger things have happened. :pilotfly::joystick:

kylania Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 OTM probably means "On the money", as in "that's accurate!" but it might also mean "Obliterated Tomato Mist", that thin red mist you get when you smash a tomato with a sledgehammer. Beagle One Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I though human controlled KA50's were the targets for the A10. :DSo, why should anyone consider to go online with Black Shark2 ??? I already stoped using BS1 in FC2 environment due to low flying EOS Hunters with a hunger for Kamovs and the lack of any Warning receiver for that threat in the Kamov. (Due to bug that will never be fixed for BS1 because of support stop)
Randolf Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 (edited) So, why should anyone consider to go online with Black Shark2 ??? (Due to bug that will never be fixed for BS1 because of support stop) I think the simulator is best enjoyed online in cooperative play, or in a well designed, closed pvp scenario. Open pvp servers easily turn into typical online crazyness.. Personally I'm really looking forward to flying together with a10cs. Edited November 4, 2011 by Randolf
Madman777 Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 (edited) A smart pilot in a KA-50, hugging the ground and using trees and mountains to hide behind...I'm sure the A-10C will have more than enough trouble to find and destroy a KA-50. Bring it on pigs...I mean hogs. Edit - Might be a cool mission to create. A KA-50 must reach point A before a certain time. A-10C must find and destroy KA-50 before it reaches that point.
