Thank you!
EtherealN Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 I don't believe anything has been announced on this yet. My advice would be to wait and see. Widowmaker013 Posted November 20, 2011 Author Posted November 20, 2011 thanks for the speedy reply! thats what I thought.. but wasnt sure
Viper101 Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 You will only need the original Lock On 1.0 CD. It will work the same way as FC2 did for install where it will just look to see if you already have a legit copy of the original (full) version before installing the expansion pack/unofficial addon. Dimebag Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Would be funny if they made you have the original LOMAC, FC1, and FC2. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Find us at http://virtual-roulettes.forumotion.com/

primus_TR Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Hello, a quick FC3 question: "This will be a paid-for update to the Flaming Cliffs series and brings it to the same world, mission editor, AI, units, etc. as A-10C and Black Shark 2." Does the 'et cetera' include new 6DOF clickable cockpits and cockpit shadows for any FC3 aircraft?
sobek Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Does the 'et cetera' include new 6DOF clickable cockpits and cockpit shadows for any FC3 aircraft? No, that would be a pretty big deal. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
sobek Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Bummer :(. Thanks anyhow. To clarify, i can't say whether they will or won't do it, but it is certainly something that they would brag about and not sort of 'also-ran'. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
primus_TR Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I understand that. But I'm really enjoying the new shark cockpit and I was hoping to see a similar upgrade if only to the SU25T. Since this will be a "paid" product, why not?
Boberro Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Amount of work needed to make 6DOF cockpit is huge. But if some nice modders made 6DOF cockpit for T-toad it could be used as well. Look at Su-25 6DOF which is briliant. Now someone could make it for 25T, even if it was to be very hard to get exact dimensions (there are no any documents for this). Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
Rikus Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 People who have bought, LOMAC, FC1 and FC2 will have a low price for FC3? Greetings
EtherealN Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Details on pricing later, right now there is no such information. Sorry. Gaanalma Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 It 'can be included in fc3 more flyable than those currently present in FC2? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] www.36stormovirtuale.net
Blaze Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Does the 'et cetera' include new 6DOF clickable cockpits and cockpit shadows for any FC3 aircraft? That's extreme wishful thinking... :D But not happening. Even just adding cockpit shadows to the default aircraft would require converting all their cockpits to .EDM, meaning that the HUD and MFD's would no longer work because the current method of displaying them is only for .CMD, and then ED would have to come up with new cockpitmodule.dll's for each aircraft and write tons of scripts to get the displays working for each aircraft again....just to have cockpit shadows. Not worth it IMO. ;) i7 7700K | 32GB RAM | GTX 1080Ti | Rift CV1 | TM Warthog | Win 10 "There will always be people with a false sense of entitlement. topol-m Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 We plan to include several upgrades to the aircraft Any info on these upgrades? I'm particularly curious about the Eagle, what goodies are planned for it? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Not worth it IMO. ;) They have done it with BS2 (I recognize that the shark already had a 6DOF cockpit, i.e. less work, but still :)), so it is not totally unreasonable to anticipate a similar upgrade to SU25T at least, which is already unique among other FC aircraft in that it has an advanced flight model, and at the time of its introduction it represented a leap of similar - if not greater - magnitude. And whether the extra work needed to incorporate a renewed cockpit is "worth it" would be a question of pricing, no? ;)
