file has disappeared

At some point today, this checklist disappeared from the file library -- I get "Element Not Found". I know it was there earlier today... What happened?

thanks,

Should be back up soon! I made a minor change in the file description and included the file version. Apparently any changes or edits to a users uploaded files requires checking before the file is available for download.

Cheers :book:

Hi Viper

Just checked again. Player controlled A-10 vs an excellent TOR 9A331. No ECM, no CM. I can overfly the TOR at 27,000' he will track me on radar (getting 15 RWR symbol) but he will not launch. If I drop below 26,000' he will launch missiles.

I arrived at the "engagement max alt" numbers on the my chart trying to answer the following question. What is the min alt at which the player can safely overfly a specific enemy "excellent" anti-aircraft system without it launching weapons at the player controlled A-10 which is not using ECM or CM.

I know, I know. track or it didn't happen... ;)

Excuse the lousy flying was using the keyboard.

VS SA-15.trk

Updated version 8b has been submitted. I've added two new pages. A x-wind chart and a weapons and capability quick ref chart with info specific to the weapons which can be carried on A-10C. This update also includes several corrections and editorial changes. Also added a summary of changes page at the end of the document.

Thanks for your efforts to put this together! The "quick ref" items to the various weapon deployment steps is much appreciated.

An error has been noted in rev 8b. Page 13. The following line is incorrect:

Set HUD as SOI.........................China hat up short

This should read:

Set HUD as SOI.........................Coolie hat up short

Please pencil in this change on pg 13 of your checklist. The next amendment will include this correction.

Thanks CubPilot for pointing this out.

Hi lobo,

I love this Handbook, it's really handy and always nearby when i fire up DCS.

As a proud owner of the TM HOTAS Warthog I'd appreciate another page listing the functions of the many HOTAS-commands. I did collect the information from official handbook and internet and put it in an Excel-file. I also tried to format it similar to the handbook, but I can't get it to look exactly like it. I'd be glad to hand the spreadsheet (or converted to PDF?)over so that you could include it in your Handbook (with proper formatting).

Hi Lobo,

I have ver. 8d and on the airport list and data page, Kobuleti TCH is 57X but it is rather 67X (I just landed there). Just a minor heads up for any next iteration. (?) :-D

Hi

I've found some major omissions on your checklist:

Page 5 - There should be an AFTER Start Checklist, but even not having one, you should move the APU GEN and APU OFF from the Taxi Checklist to immediately after both engine starts. The Engines are already generating power and APU is no longer necessary. Where you have it at the bottom of Before Taxi is about 10minutes afterwards.

Page 30 - Shutdown

SAS Switches to OFF are omitted.

Oxigen Panel shutdown is omitted, should be between MFCD (L/R) shutdown and EGI Switch for cockpit flow dynamic.

Boost Pumps Main and Boost Pumps Wings switches OFF is also omitted between Right Throttle OFF and Canopy OPEN, again for cockpit workflow logic.

Also Canopy OPEN should be placed as IF NOT ALREADY OPEN since you repeat this step in After Landing Checklists.

If I may ask, is there a writable version? I would love to include some of my notes and references. I would never release it without proper acknowledging your authoring.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Blue thanks for the comments. See my responses in blue below.

Hi

I've found some major omissions on your checklist:

The Engines are already generating power and APU is no longer necessary. Where you have it at the bottom of Before Taxi is about 10minutes afterwards.

No AFTER start checklist but there is a BEFORE taxi checklist, which technically would be done after start ;) I don't believe the r/l A-10 checklist has an after start checklist either. The APU is used not only for the gens but also for bleed air.

Page 30 - Shutdown

SAS Switches to OFF are omitted.

I am not aware that these are turned off by the pilot during shutdown.

Oxigen Panel shutdown is omitted, should be between MFCD (L/R) shutdown and EGI Switch for cockpit flow dynamic.

Noted and corrected. Oxygen supply lever to off is added to shutdown checks in V8e.

Boost Pumps Main and Boost Pumps Wings switches OFF is also omitted between Right Throttle OFF and Canopy OPEN, again for cockpit workflow logic.

I am not aware that these are turned off by the pilot during shutdown.

Also Canopy OPEN should be placed as IF NOT ALREADY OPEN since you repeat this step in After Landing Checklists.

Reference to Canopy in Shutdown checks removed in 8e as it was redundant.

If I may ask, is there a writable version? I would love to include some of my notes and references. I would never release it without proper acknowledging your authoring.

You could use something like goodreader to add your own notes to the PDF.

Thanks in advance.

Version 8E (WIP) will include the following changes:

Updated JDAM page

Updated Maverick page

Force correlate mode added

Creating a SPI page added

Updated AAR page

Kobuleti Tacan freq corrected to 67X on airport data page

Oxygen supply off added to shutdown checks

Reference to Canopy in Shutdown checks removed as it was redundant
