LOFC section contains al the threads and topics created since 2003, IIRC so there's really no point in comparing such data.

Yeah... I, too, have noticed the lack of interest but that could be because we've said our piece given what little they feed us. However, the latest developer notes has fifteen people replying and that is saying something. I'm not trying to sound the alarm, but compared to the level of interest of Clod, a game so buggy but even after two years it still manages to pull a homie train full of flight sim enthusiasts. Seriously, ED, your lack of PR is killing your grade A products.

 

I understand the need to keep a tight lip, but considering you are all damned no matter what, so, a little strategically placed PR every month or so can get a bunch of us to sound off for ya at the all the right places. Sure, not announcing the next jet for a few months keeps the suspense going, but after a year or so of nothing people are starting to wander off.

 

Let's say the plan has changed six months after the next jet announcement, and twenty or so extremely vocal nerds plus a few trolls wanted to lynch you, but thing is that is still free PR for ED. It gets people talking, and with all the blinding negativity comes those that will defend you to no end--me included. Seriously, we moan and cry but in the end we suck it up and buy all your products even when we say otherwise. It's just the nature of things with us flight simmers. Come on, ED, let the veil drop already.

So, the screenshot really doesn't indiciate much other than a timeline of releases and a proportional amount of posts for each title.

It's easily explained though - BS was a niche interest to begin with. Given the 1 year of "Why the KA-50?!?" discussions before it was even released :D

Quite true. There is also the extra interest in the A-10 just because it is the A-10!;)

Ironically enough, Rikus here is a proponent of the Red jets for next DCS, yet he missed his oppurtunity to include our Товарищ/comrades over in the Cyrillic section. If he did, KA-50 beats out A-10C. :D

Oh cmon, you have weight that graph with the timespans that these products have been announced, you'll get a *very* different picture.

To perhaps explain the point a bit more, here's the things your graph forgot to do:

 

Adjust for different amount of time the sections in question have been in existence.

Adjust for the possible uses of the sections. For example; the FC, A-10C, Ka-50 sections include missions, campaign discussions, community support/troubleshooting, exchanges of controller profiles etcetera etcetera. P-51 does not.

 

Anyone that tries to play at amateur statistics and doesn't include controls for these confounders should take a moment to read rule 1.10 again. If you're not constructive, you shouldn't post. Thankyou.
