Nice idea and great find on those files... and changing them (some of you guys are really like hackers :D )

ships wake u mean? its there but its bugged right now and its scale is far to small,

sea foam would need to be a effect the dev team add into this.

 

 

nice example is IL2 COD water animated waves .

I think the wake effect is joined to the ship 3D model, and when the ship is moving on waves the wake effect usually invisible or visible but only under the sea surface :(

i had a check with model viewer no textures tagged with the model?

 

think its independent of models the wake effects.

 

Yes, independent, not a part of the ship model but attached just like a missile to an aircraft pilon.

Sometimes visible if attached points (with wake 3D model) are above sea surface and invisible when attached points are under sea surface, i think.

ok for what its worth will upload the .zip mod file for u guys to play around with as well, it has instructions in the readme,

i set it up with calm seas, and adjusted the sea colors, looks quite nice ingame.

 

dark sea color adjustment this is included in mod.
