diveplane Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 (edited) ok was messing around and made the spot lights about a million times better, works for all models ingame. screens below , however i have hit a few snags on this because the effect turns on and off now again. but it does work looks brilliant ingame. before effect =f15E effect on p51 = effect off p51 = effect on other models with effect on more testing on this one and tweaking .. NRG-Vampire Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 p51 = effect on ... Sorry Dive, but this 1 looks more than strange. :( How can your spotlight/landinglight bright up the rear part of the fuselage and topside of wings ? This omnilight stuff what you are using isn't "intend" for this purpose.

Boberro Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Hmmm I like it! :D Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ

Nate--IRL-- Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 It kinda emulates global illumination type rendering - I like it. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
NRG-Vampire Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Unreal Light behind the landinglight ? Interesting effect but unreal to me. Maybe a weak light if the aircraft is standing in 1 inch of water or on a mirror (with 10 seconds exposure time) http://forum.lockon.ru/showpost.php?p=1406010&postcount=541

Nate nice pic nate , wonder if i can change the color? to that golden yellowish color like pic. https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.
Nate--IRL-- Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 nice pic nate , wonder if i can change the color? to that golden yellowish color like pic. I couldn't tell you - but photographs are very subjective when it comes to colour though. It may require editing the 3d model itself - I just don't know. diveplane Posted May 19, 2012 Author Posted May 19, 2012 Is there a performance hit? still early testing on this one.. seams ok ingame so far. , still to test it with a10c module. https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.
diveplane Posted May 19, 2012 Author Posted May 19, 2012 (edited) going to have to leave this one as its not fully functioning correct ingame , as nice as it is, it affects a10c cockpit lighting so am going to ditch it for now. really hope the dev team add this one in. and including, on off option for it in graphics settings. = spot light Source Edited May 19, 2012 by diveplane https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.
aaron886 Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Wow personally I think this looks fantastic. I'd imagine it would have the associated performance hit of throwing another light on the fuselage, however, so if included making it optional would be the best approach.

I'd imagine it would have the associated performance hit of throwing another light on the fuselage, however, so if included making it optional would be the best approach. performace hit was not all that bad really, it was just affecting a10c cockpit flood lighting. no clue as a work around to fix this, far as i could take this mod really, decided to just leave it for now. https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.
diveplane Posted May 19, 2012 Author Posted May 19, 2012 (edited) mod was causing this strange event to happen, but it still works , brightness can still be tuned down incockpit, no clue as to why it conflicts with other lights. thought i would share anyway results i got. Kuky Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 don't know about the lighting bug you're seing in cockpit but externally the effect does look nice to me PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
diveplane Posted May 19, 2012 Author Posted May 19, 2012 (edited) post it here anyway,..... the file , but it wont get released as a full mod because of the 2 main issues and performance. = affects incockpit a10c flood lighting and some external lights ingame. = flickers on and off at times = loadtimes are a little longer , possibly the shader active loading up. .................. good news = when it works, looks great ingame frame rates are not to bad ingame, though it does take some horse power to run. ...for further optimization this will require dev team to fully implement ingame, and have a option GUI or options.LUA setting . INSTALL THIS LOCATION =root:\ DCS World\Bazar\shaders\common zip has a backup file to revert back. newer version here http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1464853&postcount=29 Edited May 21, 2012 by diveplane https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.
