doveman Posted October 1, 2012 Author Posted October 1, 2012 (edited) Actually it does seem not to stutter much without the 12.6 dll, which is surprising as I thought 12.6 was meant to be good and stable. Framerates are still bad though. I've attached a track if anyone has the time to play it and see what they get. By the time the auto-startup has finished and all systems are running, I got 34 looking ahead, 23 looking left and 26 looking right. When I turn left to taxi, it dropped to 20 but then up to 30 again once I'd moved along a bit passed the other parked vehicles. Further along, when I was at the junction between the two runways and the other helo was approaching me, it dropped to 20 again. Once in the air I was getting about 50 looking ahead and 30-38 looking left or right although it depending where I was and was below 30 in some places. I tried the no-cockpit forward view (Alt+F1) a few times and that increased it from 50 to 95 or later 40 to about 65. Towards the end, after I flew back over the airfield, I tried backwards towards the airfield so that I was facing the back of the chair with the labels visible and that caused it to drop into the 20s as well, whilst looking away sent it back up to 42. If I could maintain at least 30 FPS I'd limit it to that and be happy but I can't put up with it dropping into the low 20s. EDIT: Just saw Lange_666's comment that 1.2.1 is out, so I'll give that a try. Pain that we have to completely uninstall DCSW and BS2 before installing 1.2.1 though, as obviously that will remove all our tweaks and mods. Obviously I can go through and backup the relevant .cfg files, etc but it's still a pain!Cold Start in Mozdok-Low FPS.trk Edited October 1, 2012 by doveman Main rig: i5-4670k @4.4Ghz, Asus Z97-A, Scythe Kotetsu HSF, 32GB Kingston Savage 2400Mhz DDR3, 1070ti, Win 10 x64, Samsung Evo 256GB SSD (OS & Data), OCZ 480GB SSD (Games), WD 2TB and WD 3TB HDDs, 1920x1200 Dell U2412M, 1920x1080 Dell P2314T touchscreen

Doveman, DCS doesn't use Tesselation - turn it off in the CP perhaps and fps drops around the airfields/ large towns is a known I'm running W7 and I don't use TIR. I've already made a profile in CCC to set Tesselation to 1x as advised, it doesn't seem possible to turn it off completely. As for FPS drops around airfields, whilst that's understandable to a point because of the activity around there, it doesn't make much sense that I get 20 FPS drops from looking straight ahead whilst parked on the airfield to looking out the left or right windows. Lange_666 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 If you have admin rights (which you should if it's your own PC), there is no need to get full control because you will already have that - Open Windows Explorer (or any other file explorer) - Go to the directory of either TIR or DCS - Click right on the directory of your choise and select "Properties" (english version) - A window with some tabs will open, select the "Security" tab. - In that tab you will see 2 little windows, one with the users account (authentic users, system, admins and normal users) and one below that with the permissions. - You will notice that full control has no tag behind it but that is for "authentic users or regular users". You can change this to give them "full control". - If you are an admin on your own computer there is no need to change since admins already have full control. Honestly, i'm pretty sure you will gain no benefits out of it, performance wise unless Wolf Rider can shine a brighter light on this matter...:book: Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. GriffonBR Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 (edited) Well, I've tried everything that people already told me to do here. Honestly, I´m about to giving up of DCS World, it´s such problematic that I prefer to stay with my Flaming Cliffs 2 when I want to fire some Sidewinders instead to fire some .50cals at IL-2 Sturmovik 46. I must have a Modern Flight Combat Sim on my PC. I was thinking... Could some option on Nvidia CP do some kind of thing to mess with my TrackIR on DCS World? I´ve tryed a lot of options there so I guess that I´ve made something wrong. I say again that I only have TrackIR problems with DCS World, my other games are running fine. GriffonBR Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Yes, it really worked and still working, but only when my Tracker is off. I've told this already. Wolf Rider Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 (edited) yes, and so have others in the past... have you (researched) and tried the advice given? Your Tracker is on the C:\Program Files\ Naturalpoint? A simpler way may also be to uninstall your tracker and reinstal it on your games HD, and go to the Virtual Store folder to check if anything tracker wise is there and delete that if there is. @Doveman... Is there a tick box to uncheck? doveman Posted October 11, 2012 Author Posted October 11, 2012 Well I tried copying GriffonBR's settings in RadeonPro but it didn't really help me. However, I seem to have eliminated the stutters :) They seem to have been caused by HwInfo64, which is ironic as I was using that to monitor the CPU/GPU usage, etc whilst running DCSW to try and identify what might be causing the stuttering!
