Where? Clicking Buy Lock-On Flaming Cliffs2 button at the top of the forum leads to a store where the only downloadable version available is $30. Checking amazon, it looks like I can get Lock-on Platinum for $20, which is better I suppose, but then I still have to wait for the thing to be shipped and delivered before I have the privilege of activating any FC3 purchase.

 

Oh yes just saw your location - You can download for $10 apparently from the Ubi store over there in the states.

I dont think so. Take a closer look to the ground textures, i cant imagine that this should be dcs-World-Textures.

Honestly, you guys must get your ducks in a row before shooting your mouth off. ED is contractually bound to Ubisoft as it pertains to the LockOn title, hence the installation requirement.

 

How's the customer supposed to know that looking at the newsletter that went out earlier today?

 

If you have contractual obligations, so be it, but the bottom line is that a DCS module requires that you own a non-DCS title, and you cannot buy that non-DCS title from the website where FC3 is being sold. Looking around a bit, it appears that the cheapest, downloadable version of LOMAC available is on Ubisoft's store website. Perhaps you could link to that on your store page for FC3?

 

Keep in mind that most of us just like to fly your sims, and we haven't been paying keen attention to the details of the contracts that ED has entered into over the years. For those of us who are not members of ED's legal department, it's going to come across as a bit of an unpleasant surprise that the latest DCS module requires that you own a non-DCS title.

But what think the ED Team people. They want the russian fighters pilots stay in calm seeing how they have dedicated time and cost just for improve the F-15 3D cockpit, with shadow + 6DOF view and also they dedicated time and costs for the external airframe textures!!!!!

This is like a sick joke. In review of SimhQ just need to talk about the F-15, because how look the russian planes is a shame:cry:.

Had a quick F-15 flight...amazing feeling to fly fast movers in DCSW...it feels so different from FC2...good job ED !

 

There will be bugs for sure, hence that's a beta...1st one spotted : pilot head was turning 360 degrees...

Don't worry...there are some nice 3rd party flanker models to replace the archaic Su27, 33 and 30 models. The cockpit is unfortunately what we have to live with for now.

3D cockpits don't limit where you can look like the 2D cockpits do. This is true for the Ka-50, A-10C, P-51D, and F-15C.

So you were hoping that with just a 2 months delay a brand new Su-27/30/33 model was going to be developed? Or purchased? Even the Su-27 in the released screenshots wes the current model.

 

I'm sorry, but the only person falsely raising your expectations was you.

 

The Su-27/33 will get the attention deserved in due time, just not right now.

Got FC3 and CA only, thanks for info, but that's extremely annoying realism wise...felt so weird to me. Other sims like BMS for instance offer 6DOF and pilot's head behaves correctly.

Tested using keyboard only, I guess a trackIR would work better as your natural head movement wont let you go 360 degrees !! :D

IIRC you can limit it if you wish in the View.lua (I think) EDIT:- Or maybe server.lua

So I have downloaded FC3 (not activated though....) and looking at campaign, there is only Bear Trap for Eagle available (i know it's not playable for me, just looking). Will be campaigns for other aircraft available after activation too or FC3 has only Eagle campaign? Sorry if this is stupid question, I'm into DCS for 3 weeks.
