Another thing I wanted to mention is that we experienced a drag when taking off surely not caused by winds. Please refer to the track posted here #8

When taking off, the aircraft turns easily 20° to the right. It is the first start up in the track. Would be great if someone could watch it and take it into account or refer to any other thread.

 

Well and also in this track there is cluster bombing which causes my system to fps of 7-10 when watched in F6 Mode... not reasonable to me.

I see the option just fine, are you using 32bit windows Leonski?

 

You can manually enable shadows by editing your options.lua (in C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS\Config folder)

Free mouse Look Freezes when you hit escape.

 

Every time I hit the escape button to look at the brief page, it locks up my mouse free look ability.

Any fixes for this at this time?:pilotfly:

How do I make my DCS-FC3-\ F-15C Cockpit Clickable?

 

Can someone help me by posting step by step how I can add text to my files to make my

DCS FC3 F-15C Cockpit Clickable. A Million Thanx!!!

by the way, i did find a post of a short explanation on sorta how you can, but it didn't go into detail, which still left me scratching my head in confusion. :helpsmilie:

@mustang Yes I use the 32bit. Thanx m8 that worked but it is a shame that i can't change it in the menu , hell it works. I got 2 questions? First one it's probably a LUA thing, how can I change the "zoom in" of TrackIR? Because I can just zoom in a little in the game! Second one about 32 or 64bit. Will the game also run in WinXP 64bit??

 

@silvabullet50 I believe that's a fairy tale because it's not clickable (jet, It would be cool if it can with the next patch)

First Question: Track IR has to be set in options -> controls -> axis assign, where the z axis is the zoom vector. It is by default alligned to moving your camera forward but there is the zoom option too. So just assign it differently and it will be good to go.

Second Question: It should. I did not hear that it would not work on xp 64bit.

But the BUG was that my "cockpit-shadows function" was missing from my option-menu!!

And IT can be enabled but the BUG still stands!!

 

It's actually not a bug, its by design for 32bit OSes (too high settings can use up too much resources which is bad for a 3GB limited system) you'll also notice that your preload radius and trees sliders are limited (compare to my screenshot) its the same thing.

 

Again its the same thing as the shadows, you can manually override these settings in the options.lua but be aware that you'll be facing problems when resources start to deplete.

Ahá okay! Thanx for the info. So if I will use my multi-boot WinXP 64bit I'll have a better preformence then a 32bit?

 

Well, i don't think performance will be much different but you will gain the advantage of using an OS that doesn't run out of resources :)

It happens quite a lot on high wind speeds (11m/s) on a regulary basis.

 

Track is attached... first take off illustrates the turn; then shortly after, there is the cluster bombs issue where fps drops like hell on a high end system.

AI aircrafts fly with too high AOA (level flight) and not same AOA as Clients AOA :( (F-15C, Su-27 player's wingmen too)

Hi,

 

SU33 : I don't know if it's bug but:

 

In FC2 while using the speed autopilot [J] it was possible to increase/decrease speed by step of 10 km/h (using the keys + and -).

 

In FC3 it's not possible anymore, it does a giant step of 40 to sometimes 70 km/h, it 's always a different value at each time i try.

I think I've experienced Manuel's problem a few times, and yes, it is about wind speed. On high CROSS-wind, the aircraft tends to 'stick' to the ground, I can make a track a few hours later. Isn't it on the list?

 

Sorry I remembered wrong. This occured when I tried to takeoff with NOT the latest build on the updated server :) :) :) Not even .7570 days, but one patch before. So no BUG there. Tried to replicate, fail.
