Hey guys!

Heres a little tech question...:

i got a xfx 7970 black edition with 4 tft's becel corrected and 5 usb displays...

It' a pain setting them up, especially with this catalyst controlcenter.

I hate to install new drivers, this takes everytime 1-2 hours till everything works satisfactionally again.(especially this annoying becel correcting)

Is there a way to save a lets say " monitor-profile" which i can reload my settings after installing a new driver?

I'd love to try out some betas, but for me its nearly a waste of time...

my eyefinity settings are always saved.

I just run the installer without uninstalling, the installer uninstalls and installs the new drivers fine.

Windows 7 is not 98SE or XP or Vista, the WDDM model can remove and replace drivers easily without reboots 99% of the time now.

So i do not have to save something?

Just overwrite, without deinstalling the old version?

I will give it another try when 13.2 is out of beta ;)

Pretty much,

Just run the installer, and it will remove the AMD Display driver while maintaining your settings, then put the new driver in.

the only time a complete wipe / remove everything AMD/ATI is when there is a problem.

The installer routine knows what it's doing, suspends display driver (you hear the ding dung), displays change to lower res, installer installs and activates the new driver and you hear the dung ding sound, and your desktop is back to the way it was.

13.2 Beta6 fixed alot of issues with black screens and other power related issues.

Also seems the more they tweak for FC3 (FAR CRY 3) the more DCS benefits

Running the 13.2 Beta 6 myself.

DCS 1.2.2

I recently added FC3 and reinstalled everthing and had issues with texture flickering from various structures such as power line towers and airfields. Not unbearable issues but enough to distract. I updated to CAT 13.1 hoping that they would fix my issues but no such luck. I again reinstalled everything including all of DCS 1.2.2 and CAT drivers. The issues remained. I also tested with various games such as Crysis 2 and 3, Skyrim and Borderlands and these games were clear of issues. I also ran the Valley benchmark from Unigine. Granted those arent directx 9.0c titles.

I was about to make a lengthy post about my issue when I saw the Beta drivers were available. I loaded them up and low and behold my flickering was gone and I am experiencing slightly better frames to boot.

So far so good. These will definitely be installed when released final.

yes, they seemed to fix a flicker I was getting with my beacon running. While I can't keep my mirrors on in MP, I have still been adding eye candy like HDR and shadows with good results. The beta drivers have been getting better and better for DCS.
