Multimonitor + Map (F10)

Hi,

 

i´m running DCS on 3 monitors via Nvidia Surround (5760x1080). So when I press F10, the map spans all around my monitors.

 

Is it possible to reduce the resolution of the map (1920x1080) and to position it somewhere else on my screen? Like the MFD exports for example?

I also have a problem with a-10 losing focus and screens behind it seem active (even though you can't see them) Its like a-10 is up but not taking input so if I click on any monitor A-10 colapses to the task bar and I have too reopen it. The task bar also shows on top of the a-10 screen. Its like I'm playing in a window that is "always on top" Very odd. This happens in Full screen and Windowed mode. I might expect something like this in windows mode but in full screen its very odd behavior.

I would also be interested in a solution. I export the MFDs to additional monitors that I have offset from my main screen, which makes the F10 almost unusable in its current state. As a CA owner, I would really like the option to restrict F10 to the Center Viewport as specified in the monitor lua file so that I can properly use both the F10 view and CA.

Sorry for bringing this old thread back up, but is there any solution for this yet?

F-10 map and Kneeboards are all over the place, and I got a four monitor setup. It is pretty annoying :(

The Kneeboard is easy to re-position the map though well that's another story I too would like to be able to condense it to my middle screen.

Hey guys! It's me once again upping this topic because - you know - that really sucks. Please at least give us some lua code in some settings file to fi this.

 

btw: I noticed the same is true for my blackout. On my main screen it looks like I am blacking out only on one eye, LOL!

The f10 map is Hard-coded and I don't know a way to change it and no DEV ever placed a hint at the English forum.

 

The Only workaround is to use SoftTH - so you are able to squeeze all the render-contend into your mainscreen (Appkey+S).

This will will make the Map maybe a little fuzzy and show it not in the right aspect ratio , but at least you can use it again.

I just zoom out and scroll around until the area I want is back on the top screen so it could be worse. Unless there are buttons in the bottom half I don't know about but will need?

Please, ED. This is a huge deal. Just allow the option to bound the F10 view to the viewport in the selected monitorsetup.lua.

 

If you're planning on implementing this after EDGE, please just throw us a bone with a progress report.

I kinda lost track of this issue, but yesterday I noticed that this behaviour hasn't changed yet, it seems.

Still no fix from ED about this, I have reported it back in 2012 (Bug #21680) but there's been no progress at all. You can do what PeterP sugested and use SoftTH as workaround.
