dburne Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 yes, exactly. Paddle button plus trim hat up is view down etc. you need to check that the trim function uses only four directions, view should contain all eight. also check if anything is configured only once. you need to assign every single direction with modifier and button press=paddle+trimhat up for "view down slow". paddle+trimhat down for "view up slow" and so on... :joystick: Allright, I am happy to report I have now sucessfully added the paddle as a modifier and able to use it combined with my coolie hat for external view panning. Now trim works as it should without the modifier, and panning works as it should with the modifier with no conflicts. Not exactly sure what I did wrong earlier, but am glad it is now working for me. shagrat Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 When people talk of disabling the LED's in TARGET, do they mean disabling just LED's 1 to 5? Is it ok to keep the Backlight LED on? Regards, Milli Must be all LEDs. It is the either brightness to full or off for ALL led, including panel backlight. The idea mentioned earlier, to use the modifier together with the Slider is brilliant, though. schkorpio Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 I thought the pinky paddle on the stick was meant to assigned to fire the laser designator manually? (I could be making that up, but I thought I read it somewhere). I just set my guided bombs to auto fire the laser though. I've used the pinky switch to toggle WinL (left windows key) + Numpad 5 - this puts you into the zoomed hud view, which makes using the GAU8 pretty easy as you don't have to worry about trying to keep your head really still. While it turns NWS on and off on the ground, in flight it is the manual laser switch. Combat2468 Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 The other point that help would be appreciated on is what would be a useful mapping for the j/stick unused 'button/bar' situated at the lower/front of the joystick? As far as I am aware this button lever is not actually implemented in a real A-10C... however, it seems like a useful addition. I have it set as a 'snap-shot' pic taker at the moment, but I have no doubt that you long term TH Warthog users will have set it to something more useful, any ideas? Nothing rude please... :) IJammer In the real aircraft the control column bar is an emergency switch. If i remember right it's to disable SAS (Stability Augmentation System) in situations like aborted take off's or when you want the aircraft to do what you want it too and not involve a computer. Interesting. The DCS A-10C manual doesn't show that the pinky switch even exists. Do you have any reference documents or forum links or so? I always wondered why TM would model a switch that doesn't exist in the real aircraft.

Yurgon Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=70633&highlight=SAS Great, thanks! Does anyone know why the paddle switch on the Warthog isn't automatically assigned to "Emergency Disconnect Lever"? This function is listed under HOTAS, and it would seem to make sense to map the paddle switch to it. Anyways, I just mapped it to this function as I don't (yet) use it as a modifier, so during my next engine failure emergency I'll have one more step to follow on my personal emergency checklist. :)
Mac10 Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I use this profile by PhoenixBvo works well for me. use's in-flight curve switching ie: switch between normal modes and A2A and a shed load of other features http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/84661/
