The Serial Number entered is wrong or mistyped. Enter a valid Serial Number and try again. WHAT DA HELL IS THAT ?!?! i need another serial or what ?

And... calm helps in the long run... you will be more frustrated after you start learning the sim and rage will not help at all. I payed and downloaded the game a few day ago and have not been able to start playing with anything because of this recurring problem. I have tried reinstalling and even updating several basic Windows files but to no avail. I have opened a support ticket on the DCS site but sofar no answer at all. Hope there are people on this forum that can shed some light on this. Regards, Paul

Any more suggestions? Because Sixto has the same problems and is also a starter from end of march this year.... could it be a bug from DCS themselves??? Downloaded the video lessons in the mean time to get at least some progress :(

I all I get is the same damned activation message as posted above.... I spent about 6 hours,,, it's a mess :( I finally got it working.. A friend had a similar problem with DCS A10C, and he was given a file to clear the activation codes from the registry. Re-enter the activation codes and it worked. Hopefully, someone can do the same here. Dell XPS 7100 = AMD 1075T Phenom II (6 cores @ 3.0ghz). 6 GB DDR3 RAM. Av8rjoker Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 (edited) Same problem. Trying to get back into DCS stuff. I installed BS 1 and it accepted my serial. Installed 2 and got the error message. Going to have to submit a ticket I guess. Edit - Also I'm pretty sure I have the right version. I downloaded the upgrade version since that's what my cart says that I own. Even though it isn't the problem I had, I tried out the solution from EtherealN posted here with no luck. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=94531&highlight=invalid+hardware+code I submitted a ticket yesterday but haven't heard anything yet. Hopefully tomorrow I guess. Edit - Also joey, I am most definitely putting in the serial number. It's really hard to screw that one up.

All was ok until when I updated DCS world 1.2.4 Now I have error with the Serial number. I opened a ticket (#21660) and I received a .reg files, but it didn't solved my problem. tonym Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Similar problem! I get the "incorrect hardware" message. My hardware has not changed or been upgraded. Had to reinstall World due to unexplained problems loading missions. I have downloaded the file "delete_all_activations_data_reg" but can't run it. My system says it is a media file. Can anyone help a PC illiterate? I submitted a ticket some days ago, but no reply yet. From what others have said the reply will be the .reg file so I will still be stuck.

tonym Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Emibat, solved my problem too. Fed up waiting for the promised reply to my ticket (within 48 hours) I don't think so! I tried reloading the exe file using the one suggested down the list. (I didn't see this option previously) it overwrote the original, & now works fine without having entered any serial number. Worth a try!
