Tried it in 1.2.5 and dosnt show any sling or cargo

 

 

Enabling the Sling Load in 1.2.4:

... and keep in mind that the behaviour of the cargo is in alpha state and that there is a reason why the DEVs didn't included it up to now in the beta.

 

EDIT:

Start your mission in the Air. - not at the ground.

Runway start = Program Crash.

Sling load will be all time enabled. Revert back the edits to fly without cargo.

 

 

Here are the default 1.2.4 lines:

I don't know i'm to scared to tamper with that file I just stumbled across it and can't remember where it was now.

Eagles may soar high but weasel's don't get sucked into jet engines.

Hi,

I have modified the FMOptions.lua and started in air, but no cargo under the UH-1.

Then I saw the cargo, it was standing on the beginning of the runway. I had to hover over the cargo till the message "cargo hooked" appeared. I also can start the mission on parking area.

But the FM of the UH-1 is very strange, also without the cargo.

Which airbase it was? Tried on Krymsk and Krasnodar-central - no cargo near runways, or anywhere on them...

 

BTW cargo cam works! You just need to reinit input configs - for example remove folder C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\UH-1H . These configs would be re-created on game restart.

Then you can call it with LCtrl+LShift+C

Thx.. Found it on the tarmac on Kobileti airfield..Now only to sharpen my hover skill.Although i am hoovering around 10 ft, i get message "hoovering under cargo", what is required way to pickup cargo?

Hi,

try to hover over the cargo for about 10 seconds (could also be 15 seconds) till you get the message "cargo hooked".

If you get the message, that you leave the cargo area (can't remember the exactly message) it will restart if you get again the message "hovering over cargo".

There is a parameter for Pick Up Time currently set to 5.0 sec in the FMoptions.LUA

I changed that to 2.0 sec, because I still suck at stable hovering:D

 

Be careful not to go to fast or erratic, the cargo swings like a pendulum to a point where the physics model is going wild and it warps front to back, with no chance of recovery... need to map the cargo release button, I guess.

With V. 1.2.8 it sort of works... and I have used it several times on the VA server on multi-player. Although it still seems to play havoc with the physics... esp. if you try a screen save . I think the lag involved with the screen save catches it out or maybe something to do with the memory leakage problem on multi-player? I had one instance where the sling load was hanging vertically under the Huey, going in a straight line at a modest 30 knots and the ship just wrecked and plummeted to ground LOL. Great concept though, but still needs a few minor adjustments me thinks.
