Refresh your browser, it's been at v5.12 for over an hour and has already had 7 downloads.

I was looking via iPhone app, it even downloaded the old one. It's updated now, you were right- thanks. Really appreciate our work on this/. Without it I couldn't use HDR at all

WOW Mustang, Version after version your work is incredible !!!

I've passed all my day to fly with your Mod + HDR, it's a REAL MASTER PIECE !!!

Congratulation for your talent and your sharing.

EDIT:

Mustang I've read this old message:

Just a note: 1.2.8 uses a version of the modified high.lua that i uploaded several weeks ago, the difference being ED decided to reduce the draw distance to 10km to accommodate for a broader range of PC configs.

To get the best visual quality of the scenery change the farDistance to 30000.0 (30km) this is HIGHLY recommended

Please can you tell me if tomorrow with the V1.2.8 + V5.12 of your Mod is it necessary to change farDistance = 10000.0; ----> farDistance = 30000.0; ??

A great thanks in advance, Skull.

I've managed to increase the albedo (i think that's the correct word) of the cloud imposters, this has the effect of making ALL the clouds respond to light more realistically (IMO i think this looks better) now we can even see some minor cloud lighting at nighttime, and with moonlight present.

I'll upload v5.13 version v soon once i'm happy with the parameters.

you might have to squint your eyes a little on this screenshot, there is added minor ambeint cloud illumination at night, especially so with a full moon.

Definitely use the 30000.0 setting if you can, you will see a marked increase of quality (the way it WAS supposed to look!)

Mustang have you considered putting out a modpack with your mods? It would be awesome!...

I agree.

Yes it's a good idea and good news because I never loved this "white light" or albedo on the mountain, and also all on the textures (buildings and aircrafts), for me one important problem with DCS.

The lights are too agresive, IRL with the photography this problem it's named colors burned.

Concerning the moonlight yes it's also a good idea for our parkings, as a reality...

Definitely use the 30000.0 setting if you can,

Yes I go tested that and I give you my feedback.

Thanks again and I wait your V5.13 with a lot of impatience...

Bye, Skull.

I use 30000.0 on my very modest system with nice frames, see my PC specs in the DxDiag.txt below :)

Hi! I have a AMD 6970, so have to use the HDR69XX shaders fix to turn on HDR (without the white blobs flashing up). I'd like to play with this but JSGME complains about clashes in trying to update hdr.lua (which makes sense, as both mods change the hdr shader).

So just a couple of quick questions:

- Can I use this effectively on HDR Normal rather than Warm (the flashes fix was for normal, so if I merge by hand it's easier).

- I guess I need HDR on for this, I had assumed so but wanted to check?

Thanks for your work on this.

Yes this mod works perfectly fine for Normal and Cold HDR modes.

edit: i might consider removing the hdr.lua if this would help, it is not essential to have this included in the package if it is that troublesome.

I think for anyone in this situation (I don't think there are many) then it's really just a case of using JSGME and enabling this mod first, then followed by the HDR69XX one - it overwrites that hdr.fx just fine (just say 'yes' on the warning) and it all looks great - thanks again for your work on this.

Hello,

In first awesome work, this Mod is incredible !!

Mustang please can you tell me if with all your screenshots you use the dynamics weather or simple weather because with my DCS I have just one type of clouds and not all the clouds that you show us with your screenshots.

Impossible to obtain the same clouds than you, is it normal ?

Thanks again, Skull.

Hi, all the screenshots were taken with simple weather with lvl 8 clouds set to maximum altitude in the ME, HDR was on either Warm or Normal for most of the shots (SweetFX was NOT used)

i also widened the camera angle a bit to show more of the sky/clouds/terrain for screenshot purposes (rctrl and / on numpad)

Hello Mustang,

Still me with my eternal questions, if it's possible can you tell me the thickness of your maximum clouds altitude ?

Once again your Mod is incredible and THE MUST to HAVE, thanks again. Skull.
