AutoUpdater Update

Version 2.6.16:

- Workaround broken transparent proxies used by some ISPs.

Solves the "HTTP 400 Bad Request" problem.

- Fixed argument handling in the repair command.

If given an improper argument the repair always succeeded,

but set the branch to a given value after that. So those

who incorrectly called repair with a module name, not a

branch name, started to get "HTTP 404" for all subsequent operations.

Hi,

Can´t find the F/A-18C as module (?)

"In parallel we continue to work on the F/A-18C Hornet. We are currently working on the cockpit and setting up its functionality. Later in 2016 we plan to release the Hornet as an “Early Access” product that will allow you to participate in early testing."

Hi Silver Dragon,

I read that ED is developing the "CVN-71 Nimitz" aircraft carrier (per your words :)).

The newsletter mentioned a "Nimitz class carrier" - do you know that it is the USS Theodore Roosevelt - CVN-71?

Interestingly, I googled it and CVN-71 hasn't changed much at all from 1988 till 2010. The major visible features (masts, etc) seem more or less the same. Might be a great choice to represent a current and 1980s Nimitz carrier - just a thought.

Thanks for the info and continuous updates!

I'm wondering what about sound sytem, many times when watching in F2 view and changing the view with mouse the engine sounds are interrupted, the pop-in and out, the system kind of thinks I moved the camera too far away, also explosion sound effects are too late sometimes, and when planes hit the ground there's a slight freeze always, lost frame, so explosions and collisiony don't really happen very smooth, including missile hits, this probably has to do with animation stuff, updating this will make the whole game look better including older maps, is this maybe planned to be fixed part of the planned conversion of the old caucus map into "T4 engine" ?

I'm running Sandy Bridge E I7 3820 OC to 4.0 GHZ with around 40-80 FPS, on an Asus P9X79, with the AMD R7 370 GPU.

Oh, well yes I'm new, I got much to learn.

I don't want to say how it should or shouldn't be, but would it feel better if there was a slight fade ? Sometimes the 3D Sound dynamics don't quite kick in and it feels like a cliffhanger cut-out so it feels poppy, but I don't want to appear as an expert, just a thought I had in mind since the very beginning as I couldn't figure it out.

I think the future Nimitz could be CVN-74

Thank you, I saw that a few months ago - looks promising. The only thing is that I am an ardent Tomcat fan and the LNS Tomcat is going to be set in the mid-80s (F-14A) and mid-90s (F-14B). The USS John Stennis wasn't operational till ~1998 (first real deployment).

Other carriers of the same class (especially USS Nimitz, Ike, Carl Vinsion, and TDR would fit in better with the Tomcat).

Of course, I'll be happy with what I can get. ;)
