So what's everyone's take on the future of DCS?

I have no doubt that DCS World will continue to grow and have a larger and larger community of enthusiasts but also growing the base of single player users not using this community forum. What I expect to see developed if thinking further ahead is use of online content. Online content for maps, aircrafts, vehicles, skins, mods but all connected to a base installed application on the client. I would also expect there will be a global earth scenery for DCS World maybe with a low res content as local base on the client for free and an online licensed content for high res areas.

OK, let's turn this around. Why don't you find something better to do with your time than hang around here and bitch, because obviously the sim is in your opinion garbage - and anyone defending even the unambiguously good aspects of it is, according to you, a "fanboi"?

I have all modules , i like some things in dcs.. i have even russia version of black shark 1 and i was fanboy years ago...but can't be any more.. ;)

Oculus CV1, Odyssey, Pimax 5k+ (i5 8400, 24gb ddr4 3000mhz, 1080Ti OC )

Wouldnt that be going backwards?

Well, with FC3 and stand alone A-10 and Su-25 we've already gone backwards.

Why not take it a step further and make a FC multirole?

And if I recall correctly, Wags stated in one of the weekly updates that there will be more FC level planes.

i thought they released a10 and su25 to get rid of the contracted licence from lock on ?

Among other things.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

So if I buy FC3 am I still obligated to buy 1 or 2?

Just need to have a installation of Lock-On on your PC so FC3 can see it. After FC3 is installed you can then uninstall Lock-On.

EDIT: You do not need FC1 or 2 if that's what you are referring to.
