SkateZilla Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Yea, this is the best solution without any additional software. I wonder if I can plug in an old mouse that has a broken laser, and tape the mouse button down and continue to use my main mouse. MegOhm_SD Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 (edited) Very interested to know exactly what driver your using and what settings. As it may be a "sweet spot" thing Sith, I will do a track tonight, I have to leave for work in about 3 minutes so cant do it now :p Pman Hi Pman. I am running 13.4 drivers ( I know, just lazy but maybe lucky) attached my settings in the thumbnails... also have my mirrors on. Use VSync because I don't like TIR tearing at cockpit frame not running any Mods in 1.2.7. Running my card at 1000MHz on the GPU Clock and 1400MHz on the Memory clock I run my i7980X at 3.8GHz I just did the mouse checkbox thing but see no difference there. Hope you find something to make it better Edited December 20, 2013 by MegOhm_SD Cooler Master HAF XB EVO , ASUS P8Z77-V, i7-3770K @ 4.6GHz, Noctua AC, 32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro, EVGA 1080TI 11GB, 2 Samsung 840 Pro 540GB SSDs Raid 0, 1TB HDD, EVGA SuperNOVA 1300W PS, G930 Wireless SS Headset, TrackIR5/Wireless Proclip, TM Warthog, Saitek Pro Combat Pedals, 75" Samsung 4K QLED, HP Reverb G2, Win 10
Ranger79 Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 Have the same issue with microstutters, holding right mouse button does stop the problem. I have no idea what is causing this bug, but I will hold off on playing 1.2.7 until its fixed.... Anyways, I'm using the method expert said about, it works and it will do for now. Edited December 20, 2013 by Dudester22
SkateZilla Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 (edited) just to clarify, Micro-Stutters are a XFire/SLi Dropped Frame/AFR Side Effect. where you get high FPS but they are rendered in a Order that makes motion appear smooth at one point and jittery at others while maintaining the same general FPS, without getting into technical geek speak, labeling the issue as Micro-Stutter is incorrect. What your Seeing is actual Stutter, due to FPS dropping to a point where you can see the interval between individual frames. I plan to run some frame tests to see what the latency and runt frame counts look like when holding mouse button down and not. as for the cause, i have no idea, could be 100s upon 100s of things Here's a Dumb question, Has Anyone tried just straight UNPLUGGING your mouse? I'd like to know if that has any effect, ie, if unplugging your mouse fixes the STUTTER, then the issue maybe something to do with Windows Hardware Mouse Cursor or Mouse Driver. Mainstay Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 Found this workaround useful for the FPS spikes till it gets fixed, turn clicklock on and then once in-sim just hold left button for a few moments and you're good to go Great find mustang ! Works like a charm. Waiting till ed comes up with a solution. Wondering how a simple mouseclick can have such a monsterous effect......
sslechta Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 Wondering how a simple mouseclick can have such a monsterous effect...... My ASSumption is that maybe a dev was troubleshooting FPS issues and set the mouse thing up for test and forgot to turn it off. BitMaster Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 The Stutter problem on my machine remains with or without mouse button clicked. As I cannot detach my mouse/mice I wont be able to test if it would disappear if no mouse was connected at all. Due to the built-in TrackPad and the non willing Apple Bios not letting me turn it off I will at least have the TrackPad active. The stutter is at about 3-4 Hz rate at my system, if you need a DX Diag I am happy to help you, just leave a note. IMHO this should be adressed asap as many potential testers get their eyes hurt playing this way, this is for sure beyond what my eyes can take. 5-10 min and I get a headache. Please address this quick so we can play the beta even deeper to find the not so obvious bugs.
