Lausbub78 Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Starting Number was 003,they are still kickin' and sliding like on Day 1.^^
Rogue Trooper Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 It is weird how they stay butter smooth! I originally thought that the butter smooth action would be gone within 6 months due to dirt ingress at the very least! But no change what so ever. Lausbub78 Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 (edited) Even if they ever start to get sticky ,it's easy to change the Ball bearings. It's a well thought design, every part that may wear out can be easily replaced with standard materials, like you can get in every Hardware store. Edit: @cichlidfan, As far as I know they will fit if you use the width reduction plates that you can buy as an option. You just can not swifel the Footplates anymore, not much of a problem in my opinion. Edited September 24, 2015 by Lausbub78

Lausbub78 Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Did you need to do the bearing change? No, I'm sure if at all then in some years...propably never. I had to change the Cables for the brakes once, thats been 2 Years ago and no problems since. The Cables broke after some weeks already, problem was that they got bent back and forth. Milans solution was to add the loop we have now. That was the only problem I ever had,and it got solved very fast.
Rogue Trooper Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 In my line of work, if a cable breaks after a few weeks.. it was already broke. The new larger loop certainly allows for play and flex. I will find it interesting to see how these pedals stand up to the test of time, at the mo, I feel they are a life long friend. You just can not swifel the Footplates anymore, not much of a problem in my opinion. From official Newsletter March 2015 regarding the Obutto: Will these fit an Obutto R3volution cockpit? MFG Crosswinds barely fit inside R3v’s pedals tray with limited adjustability. For full compatibility there is extra cost option “WAP set -width adjustment plates set” which is used to narrow pedals width – therefore provide a good fit for Obutto R3v Note : I don’t know if older Obuto “ozone” model will fit, but I belive pedals are NOT compatible with Ozone due to it’s too narrow pedals tray Link http://mfg.simundza.com/assets/downloads/MFG%20Newsletter%20March%202015%20general.pdf
