Something got changed in a file somewhere (DCS or even in Windows). Some part in your computer finally started failing or failed just enough that it can't keep up any longer. Who knows. Regardless, with that many mods (or really with any), the most prudent 1st step in troubleshooting is remove them all and do a repair on your DCS. It's really not worth spending a lot of time troubleshooting until you do that.
-
Well, this morning DCS started as usual. Without applying any other changes it does not start anymore now. I wonder what has changed.
-
After running Win11 24H2 since Nov 2024 I have updated to 25H2 two weeks ago. I didn't notice any changes or performance issues in DCS or other games.
-
Wow, you've got a lot of mods installed and it appears you're getting bunch of errors on them. I'd start with removing them, if only reduce the clutter in the log.
-
Have you made any changes to your mods before it stopped working? Have you already tried removing all mods, run a repair and see if that fixes your issue? If not, try renaming your saved games folder. If yes, add one mod after another to see which one causes issues.

You got more infos? Like any airfield in particular? Like rather small ones with single runway and backtrack required? How many units are involved? Can you also replicate it on Caucasus?

ATG missles aren’t coming off the rails- 100% it’s me, but why?

Pylons can be shot and break -
Not really sure if this is a bug, or if I’m just doing something wrong all of the sudden lol, but it seems like since the last update, any AI aircraft I assign to start parked and hot take forever to take off, like they are initiating a cold start. I can be halfway across Iran before the rest of the flight is up lol. Anyone else having this issue?

TheBiggerBass started following DCS does not start anymore

Started DCS a few hours ago without isssues. Without any changes or updates since last succesful start of DCS today, DCS suddenly fails to start now with this error message (full dcs.log attached): 2025-11-05 22:52:47.894 ERROR ASYNCNET (Main): HTTP request dcs:logout failed with error 99: Unrecoverable error in select/poll 2025-11-05 22:52:47.894 ERROR ASYNCNET (Main): Logout failed: -99 === Log closed. DCS launcher starts but DCSstops with the error message above. How to fix that? dcs.log

That's weird. I flew my FA-18C on Nevada map in a similar fashion and my GPU frametime is between 8.3 and 9.2 ms, no stutters whatsoever. The 8kX has only about half the pixels rendered compared to the Crystal Super but if you are using DFR, you should get decent frametime, certainly lower than 11 ms. This has to be related to settings or something running in the background. Did you tried installing process lasso? It will show what's running in parallel with DCS and you may find the culprit there.

Thanks, TeTeT, Am using those three ships as Fletchers, Sumners, and light cruisers, respectively, on the WWII maps, escorting the new DCS USS Essex carrier. (as well as all my Korea and Vietnam maps) As the formations are small, maybe 1 or 2 carriers, the screen is generally 2 CL's and 4 DD's, at 3,000 yds cruising plan. So in the pattern, will fly over several at 150 kts/300 ft, as they are plane guard and lead destroyers in line w/ the carrier. They look great, except for the later applied dark deck coating, if that is correct. The overhauled ships, not used, even appear to have it on the 5" gun turrets. As these are still gunboats, a lighter deck would make them a great WWII cut-in. Don't know the trouble, but a mod file would be fine as the rest of the ship is good to go. Consider it. Thanks TeTeT, as this is some very nice work. Bowie

proxlamus started following Force feedback Joystick from Moza
-
I got the Moza AB6 last night! Coming from a Thrustmaster Warthog base its pretty amazing. It came with an included flight stick the MHG but I prefer the Thrustmaster stick. Great feedback and torque . Going from a F16 on the default Moza profile over to a P51 is different. I did notice the "propeller vibration" is pretty noisy over 40% but everything else runs smoothly. Then I slapped on a shift knob and raced with a 5 speed and a sequential shifter. Its so convenient to only have one tool to do it all! Especially at $399

Thanks! Have you tried all four links? If you get the same error from all of them, you'll just have to wait until they reset. Google Drive let's you transfer 750 GB per day per account, that's why I use four of them. -
Of course not. The game (or VR app) renders two separate images – one for the left eye, the other for the right eye – from a slightly different perspective or centering in VR. So you can have a shift in the image, and in VR it will be in the middle. The image is shifted, so each eye sees something slightly different, which gives us a 3D effect. I don't take screenshots with DCS from desktop either, but with the OpenXR Toolkit. It's the same picture. Each eye has something different, which causes you to see, for example, this snake in VR (the differences are quite visible) - each image shows something different and you will get something different after superimposing these two images in VR. Btw. This is off-topic, so please don't continue this here. You can read about the 3D effect, for example here: https://healthymind.fr/en/virtual-reality-headset-how-does-it-work/ and open the new one if you want. I checked again now. Indeed, because the image is generated only with the right eye (like in Apache), the crosshair itself is not perfectly centered but closer to the left side. Overall, the impression is okay, it doesn't bother me, but actually, in this case, maybe a higher IPD gives a bigger shift here. 5440 x 2784 pxt. For VR to generate a good image, it must have a higher resolution. This is very noticeable in 2D when taking screenshots.

Did you have a chance to tweak the thing yet? If not I'll give it a go this week.

Military Assets for DCS by Currenthill
BlackFalco replied to currenthill's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
@currenthill thanks a lot man! thanks for your on-going work for this. Just a question, I tried to download the new update but keeps on sayin' "you've reached the amount of downloads for this file so you cannot download it now". -
What infos specifically are you looking for? Have you tried google or looking on youtube for some basic general tutorials? As for buttons, go to your controls and search for Chaff and Flare. "Q" deploys both at the same time while "insert" or "delete" (or whatever keyboard equivalent you have) deploys either of the two. As for tactics, Flares against anything IR guided, Chaff against anything radar guided. Also googling for something like "DCS Countermeasures" might help you further. But to give you an idea, there is no "after a fixed amount it works". There's a % chance that it works so while for one missile 1 chaff/flare is enough, for the next one you might need more. And you can also pre-emptivly deploy them, it might increase your chance to spoof the threat, at least when it comes to IR guided missiles.

AGM-65D image quality (F-16 vs A-10)
sjhorsley replied to svedan's topic in DCS: A-10C II Tank Killer
In DCS the F-16 was much better and similar to what you see on the A-10 SS. A few patches ago it changed and the F-16 became worse. Not sure why but when I inquired I didn't get anything but working as intended so I live with it. But it does not seem correct to me. -
Update: Added a detent step, to coincide w/ the mdl.'s Mil/Full throttle detent. Come back any from full throttle, and it drops back into Mil power. Also allowed for a symmetrical curve, centered on 30" of manifold pressure. Really liking this one, both in a fight and around the boat. Call it done, unless they change the flight profile. Give it a try. Bowie

Ok, I understand that is not specifically due to DCS, but what about relation of total latency, bitrate and game setting? Eg. in a performance wise scenario, at h.264 500 bitrate, all runs fine with game latency below 11, total latency 37. Conversely, in a fps-heavy scenario, besides game latency still under 11 (thus solid 90 fps), total latency rise to 48, with some randomized spikes here and there. At 300, light or heavy scenario are the same, total latency 37 ms. Is it normal? Is due to connection? I though that once enstablished a good bitrate for your wifi config, no matter what you stream/gfx settings. Am I wrong? Thanks

Been running 25H2 for a couple of weeks after 24H2. No issues with DCS, OpenTrack, peripherals (RHINO, MFG Pedals, Winwing throttle).
