Thank you. I had the correct path after all,and had renamed "default" to "english",however, even with the english option showing in the drop down list for custom cockpits,I still had the default/non-english cockpit. Turns out that my file "Cockpit-F1EE" was named "Cockpit_F1EE". Thats it. My question now: Is there a list of proper file names for each module in DCS? Thanks!

There you can see the route. You have to copy the mod on the Saved Games folder, not on the mail install. Your folders will have other names of course but the important part is Saved Games\DCS folder (whatever its name is)\Liveries. That folder pointed by the arrow is named "default" when you download the mod. Just change it to "english" and it should appear on the droplist inside the game to select the custom cockpit. You have to do the same for each F1 variant (CE, EE, BE).

Interesting. I haven’t had this one yet. I’ve had it where the right gear won’t go up, but it’s usually after a little bouncy takeoff and an error on my behalf. For my own curiosity, can you post the track file? We have no idea if you had a bad takeoff, got shot up by bandits, etc. Really need to provide more info when throwing up a post like this, otherwise I don’t think anyone would be able to help.

Can we at least get the black Hawk as AI ? -
Search Lights Off too Soon.trk See the attached track file. When an aircraft being spotted by searchlights is "killed" as the game defines that term, the searchlights immediately switch off. However, the "killed" unit is still flying, typically just with an engine on fire. Real searchlight crews would probably continue to track the aircraft if only out of fascination at the spectacle, not immediately switch off.

None of this is mission breaking, so not a big deal. Just in light of the polish of the remainder of the campaign it stood out: Chinook Rotor 1-1 crashes in a ball of fire at the south end of the runway Sting 16 and 17 both run over the soldier blocking their jet on the ramp Panther 11 runs over soldier at Echo Sting 11 runs over the soldier at Echo I surely hope that flying at the back end of a tree formation IRL has less turbulence than is modeled in DCS; because that was not my prettiest flying!

The only thing that has changed is my CPU though.

Several times now I've had one of the landing gear not extend for landing. The plane flies differently too ,as if only one gear is down.

I am having trouble with this. I am pretty sure its just my file path errors, but wondering if anyone has the english cockpit mod working.Thanks.

Gain switch works in GM and SEA A-G radar mode. Does not work in GMT mode. Thanks!

Well, if you did a fresh windows install, you also need to undo some things: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/options-to-optimize-gaming-performance-in-windows-11-a255f612-2949-4373-a566-ff6f3f474613

I would think MSAA, DLSS and resolution settings are GPU related and have less to do with whatever CPU you are using.

I upgraded because it was my third 14900K with the intel CPU’s killing themselves. I was just tired of worrying about it. Also not to mention the weird windows update failures, blue screens, and other instabilities. I had just had it with intel. I did all the recommendations. fresh windows install updated bios and latest chipset drivers other games got increases in fps for sure because my gaming ssd is separate it has the old settings from when I ran the 14900K Balanced power plan and tried cores 0-15 and 1-15. the only thing that’s weird to me is how hot this cpu runs. I thought the 14900K was a hot CPU topping out at like 82C my 9959X3D is getting all the way to 91. I even put a contact plate and re applied thermal grizzly. i feel like my CPU isn’t boosting at all. Maybe getting to 3.2ghz on a core while playing DCS. I know something isn’t right but I am so confused as to what it is.

If it might be difficult to make piers for the ship to pull up to and leave Maybe can make tug boats that can attach to the ships and pull them out to sea and put them into port That would be so awesome Thank you

OK I'll contribute! I had to blow the dust off of the Viggen so here's an demo video I made at Nellis. This one is the spectator view and a link for the cockpit video is in the description as well. Enjoy the clip gang! This plane is a lot of fun to fly. https://youtu.be/Ya6bLb9PzgA?si=QZAZjpgfdl8qFtV4 -
[emoji1787][emoji1787] I know how you feel. I'll certainly give your advice a shot. It makes me appreciate even more these young fellas who had to do all of this in combat and survive. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk

So anyway if it might be difficult to make peers of the ships can maneuver too Maybe we can make tugboats so they can pull up the ships and attach to them and then pull them out to sea Maybe some functionality can be made for that That would be super awesome

I will follow this. I just used the settings from the 14900k which ran just fine.

Thanks! Glad to help. The mass of the prop will only really eat up some power if you are constantly accelerating/decelerating it. As for your question: I'll refrain from trying to answer this one because I only have limited IRL combat experience (banging head on keyboard, punching fist thru monitor, smashing printers in an open field , etc), and prefer not to give any incorrect info. In DCS, I try not to change throttle much at all, even in combat. Try to manage your energy. Come in for a high speed dive, take your shots, zoom on by and regain the energy up high for the next pass, ideally without touching my throttle or RPM. If things get complicated with the bandit and I'm in a bind, I'll push it up to 2700 RPM only when slow on speed and I need to accelerate quickly, then I'll pull RPM down a little again to keep some speed and not run in first gear too much. Is it the correct way? I dunno. I'm always learning. It works for me, but then again, I also get shot up a lot I'm much more comfortable with the engineering stuff over combat

How does radar work during A-G mode
RogueSpecterGaming replied to Skrzatek's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Are you thinking that the phrase "Air-to-Ground" means that it should have an "Air" capability to the radar while also being able to have the "Ground" capability?? Are you thinking it should show you air targets as well?? -
HARM in HAD mode with HTS pod issue
RogueSpecterGaming replied to skywalker22's topic in Bugs and Problems
PGM 1 is the most accurate, not PGM 5. PGM 5 is the least accurate. But also, the original bug that you linked to, had to deal with the accuracy of the HARM itself when a SAM's radar turned off. This was addressed in the latest update. Seems like a misunderstanding of how the system works. PGM 2 is still pretty accurate but it should not have been as accurate as it was when radar emissions stopped. Weapons. Fixed the AGM-88C being overly accurate, even when the target radar emissions cease. Fixed edge case where a target ID is passed to the missile, but the target stops radiating before seeker delay. Increased seeker range to match HAS implementation more closely. -
Confused by Mission 1 offset info.
