  12. I am more sceptical if not all information needed is available. Missing features or made up for "what if" scenario that real mig pilots would use is far worse than minor bugs which can be solved in one weekly update or two. We will see in the meantime after released.

  14. I can I can release a combined one, I kept them seperate to allow people to keep their object count low if they need to. DM me the pictures and I can add it. some places have stock commercial/industrial textures at the location whick makes it hard to work around but I'll take a look.
  15. I tested removing SA-11 only, no luck. I tested removing SA-10 only, no luck. I tested removing NASAMS only, no luck. Will run some more tests later.

  17. With all the latest developments in multiple theatres of war both in Europe and the straits of Hormuz, I'd love to see the Shahed 136 added in with the next iteration of the DCS core CH assets! This is a very relevant asset in modern warfare and would open an entirely new range of possibilities with air interdiction and drone hunting missions in DCS. Furthermore, as ED proceeds to develop the F-35A and Heatblur brings the Eurofighter, both of which have advanced capabilities which very few assets in DCS are even remotely of the same capability, it would be great to see modern warships (e.g. type 45 daring class destroyer, arleigh burke flight iii, type 055 destroyer, etc.), and air defence systems (Sky sabre, S-350 etc.) to complement these. I think these assets would certainly balance out the capability gap for long range SAMs and air defence a bit better. Love the variety of assets in the first iteration, there was a really good variety of both cold war and modern assets. Really awesome seeing the scorpion and scimitar in DCS!

The problem is not modern missiles, they have an IRCCM sensor that knows how to differentiate or try to mitigate aircraft flares, this is not implemented in DCS, but they try to simulate it by increasing the resistance of these missiles flares, which is not correct and far from being something close to reality, the real problem happens with older missiles, which do not have these same systems, these missiles for the most part just follow the target with greater heat, they cannot distinguish between a flare and an aircraft, making them easily fooled with one or two flares. An interesting point that the other guy mentioned was the case of the aim120, where it basically had no system to avoid a notch maneuver, they implemented an irccm system that temporarily suspends its seeker when a chaff is detected, when it is suspended it tries to maintain the course and route of the enemy aircraft that is being attacked, turning on the missile seeker after a while to try to reengage the target, the aim9m and modern variants basically have this same irccm system (but for flares), making them much more deadly in combat. If you want an example of this system working, try googling war thunder irccm missiles and strategies to dodging them, the modelled it really well
  20. I have to agree that the new pilot in the mirrors is goofy looking, and in VR at least, has angle and latency issues. Would be nice to be able to turn it off.
